Is initiative without action really initiative?

Initiative without action is simply words with no intention or meaning.

But so often, initiative without action is merely a placeholder given to those who seek or desire something from another person.

If you want to spend time with me, plan it, and coordinate it, don't just talk about it. Make an effort. If you want to have sex me with, don't just ask, kiss me, touch me, entice me, and lead me.

Effort and initiative are so attractive and drawing. Everything else is just dead air and wasted intention.

It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch - it matters. I don't turn toward the light because it means someday I'll 'win' some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light.

Saying "I love you", us not enough.

Are the actions kind? Are they responsible? Will they work on issues? Do they show you respect/make amends?

The people who use this will often say "but we love each other, isn't that enough?"

No. Real issues, really have to be dealt with.
