So something like this shouldn't happen here in El Paso. This is home, and suddenly home doesn't feel so safe. The fact that we are at home telling each other to stay indoors and away from the malls, is what America is now. And it needs to change guys. Regardless of your political views, this cannot continue.

Many injured, there are deaths, and so much fear of racism. Some guy from some city drove here to instill fear into such a safe city. My safe city, my safe home, is no longer safe. He wanted to make people scared and he wanted to make a division in an already divided country, and yet we are the ones who suffer the most... the walmart near my house is nearly empty. The shopping center on the West side here is almost vacant. There is an abundance of police and yet!

People are donating help and blood and aid- and time. People are bounding together and helping each other in this hot El Paso heat.

So guys, please, please vote this upcoming term and in any way that can make a difference in your home.

They don't know where it started- if it started at a Walmart near the mall, but there are different areas where shots were fired and many stores on lock down with talk of threats in other areas.

This is our country and home and we have to make sure that the safety of the new generations is ensured and not left up in the air where families and kids are out shopping for school and for fun.

I don't usually talk about the active shooting/ terrorist (because, no matter the race, these are acts of terror) problem in the US, but considering I'm locked in my house under a multiple county wide lock down due to multiple active shooters in my area (one suspect dead, the other still active; one innocent bystander currently confirmed dead and at least 10 injured), I just wanted to say two things...

One: I'm safe.

Two: This needs to stop.

There's an active shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, according to police.

There is an active shooting at a Walmart supercenter in a popular shopping and strip mall in El Paso, Texas. The large mall is enclosed and many stores are currently on lockdown. This is a week before the back to school Multiple people have been reported injured and their has been many reports of multiple different shooters. The police are telling the public to stay clear of the area as they search the very large area for the active shooters. Tune into the news now to follow how the police respondeds.

Active shooting in my town, urgent need for blood!!!

If you live or know someone in El Paso, TX where I live, there is an urgent need for blood, please consider sharing!!!! At least two blood donation centers in the area are currently open: Vitalant Blood Services on 424 S. Mesa Hills Dr and on 1338 N Zaragoza Rd !!!

There was a shooting at a highschool in Broward County Florida. Stoneman Douglas Highschool. There are 20 injured. The shooter was a white man that is still around. If you are in the Parkland area, be cautious as the shooter is still around.

This is why we need stricter gun laws. We need this or more people are going to get killed.

Update: the man has been caught and is of cuban descent.

There are 17 dead. Stoneman Douglas will not have class for the rest of the week. There have been some grief counseling for those affected in designated locations in Parkland. The state will pay for the counseling and funerals I believe.

Attention Mid-Michigan:

There was a shooting at Central Michigan University in Michigan. The shooter is still active. The whole town of Mt. Pleasant is on lockdown. Rumor is at least one person is dead, and others wounded.
