What's going on at The Gadget Show Live?
There’s just over a week until The Gadget Show Live 2015, which takes place between April 7-12. We can’t wait to get to grips with all the latest tech toys, and there are plenty of live shows and areas to keep you happy for the entire day. So read on to find out what’s going on at The Gadget Show Live this year.
Super Theatre
As befitting the name, the Super Theatre offers up an unmissable experience, with the Gadget Show team getting together to host a one hour live show that includes gadget reviews, presenter challenges and high-octane stunts. There’s also the chance to get involved yourself, with some brilliant prizes up for grabs. One winner will even walk away with our incredible £4k tech prize bundle – so make sure you check out the times, and we’ll see you there!
Game Zone
The Game Zone needs little introduction, doing exactly what it says on the tin and offering a safe haven for gaming fans. It’s the chance to catch up with the biggest exhibitors in the gaming world, and there are also sessions being hosted by Game to help keep you entertained. Throw in a mixture of the latest games, consoles, gadgets and tournaments you can take part in throughout the day, and there’s enough in the Game Zone to keep you occupied all on its own.
The Connect Theatre
The Connect Theatre offers a great chance to find out more about the best tech from 2015, including an in-depth look at the best phones and tablets, the Internet of Things and a host of fantastic wearables, along with an exclusive look at what goes on behind the scenes at The Gadget Show. Innovation Theatre
It’s well worth heading along to the Innovation Theatre during your day at The Gadget Show Live too, with a fascinating insight into the gadgets of tomorrow (and the next decade) on show. Inventors will be on stage to talk about pioneering ideas, and we also get to see the return of the British Inventors’ Project. There are speeches from some of the best inventors and the most creative minds in the UK, and it’s also a chance to hear more about some cool crowdfunded tech.
Active Zone
The Active Zone is the first time we’ve had a dedicated area just for wearables, but with the recent explosion of smartwatches, fitness bands, VR headsets and other gadgets, it’s definitely warranted. So if you’re on the lookout for a wearable to help get you fit, be sure to come along and play with the gadgets in the Active Zone – you can also hop on a bike and pedal like an Olympian – taking on gold medalist and presenter Amy Williams – in our Active Tech Challenge!
Build Your Own Gadgets
If you’re more hands-on when it comes to your tech, you’ll love our Build Your Own Gadgets area. As the title (cunningly) implies, there are kits for making your own gadgets (and even robots), along with masterclasses in getting more from technology.
Kids Tech Toy Trail
Bringing the halflings along to The Gadget Show Live? If so, it’s important to keep them engaged if you want to avoid tantrums, and the Kids Tech Toy Trail is ideal. You’ll find numerous pods lining the route of the trail, complete with different tech for your little ones to play with. It’s the perfect way to break up the day, and means your children won’t have to spend all of the day watching you get over-enthusiastic with the shiniest smartwatches, phones and other gadgets!
