End of Haunt Season
So Dark Harbor finally comes to a close. The last night was a super fun night, and even all of the guest were super chill. Trust me, there were more than enough jerks that came thru the event this year, but I digress... I had a lot of fun, and it was really cool to see my face as Graceful Gale plastered all over everything. I was on banners, and the event map, I had my own maze this year. The coolest thing with my face on it, was this creepy oil painting in the 'Soulmate' maze. It was me, but they they used that effect on my eyes so it looked like I was following you walked past. Cool! All of the monsters were really great this year. We made Travel Channel's best 10 haunts for 2014, in the entire country!! Not too shabby. So here are some photos of the past few weeks.
My makeup artist Jen Fregozo and the head of the costuming department Katy Brisbois being too cool for school.
I even had a chance to be the infamous Ringmaster one day!
I'm on the elevator doors of the Queen Mary!! Graceful Gale has reached celebrity status! LOL!
Our MainStage show every night at 8:30pm
Graceful Gale attempts to be a makeup artist for the night.
Graceful Gale and her VooDoo Doll
Lots of fun memories, and I already miss it. I also miss sleep so I'm very happy to have that back. LOL! And Dark Harbor will return in ten short months. I hope to be so lucky that they ask me to return again to be the face of Graceful Gale. She's been one of my favorite characters to play.

ITS BEEN A LONG TIME
Hey folks!
Its been a long time since I've wrote or posted on here, and for that I apologize. It has been a crazy whirlwind of stuff happening. I've been working my "day" job, whilst trying to finish my 11th Doctor cosplay, starting a new cosplay, going to rehearsals for Dark Harbor, hosting a new show on Twin Galaxies, photo shoots, and the opening weekend of Dark Harbor. Whew! I'm pretty exhausted, but I don't want to neglect my friends who follow my blog. So thank you for being patient. I have lots to share with you. Including new vlogs I'm working on for my YouTube channel. Cosplay photo shoots, and blogs about what I've been up too. Plus some exciting events I want to share with you in the future.
Let's start with the most recent event that has been consuming most of my time. DARK HARBOR! We had a great opening weekend! I'm doing a brand new stage show there and, AND Graceful Gale has her very own maze! It's called 'Soulmate'. Graceful Gale is creating her very own soulmate from different parts of men she deems worthy of her standards. Its great! And the best part of the whole weekend was my director happen to walk past me while creeping people out in the maze, (*side note*- as the face of Graceful Gale, I'm out in an area called the "Streets" and not technically suppose to be standing in the part of the maze I was in, but I figured if I have a maze based on my character why not go in and mess with people. Right?) and he said that I was the best thing he saw in that maze that night. He said, I was like a shark, scoping out my prey! I almost collapsed with happiness. My "Michael Myers" bit finally worked. I also have been "Michael Myers-ing" it in other areas of Dark Harbor. I been creeping on people in the 'Circus' line. And by the hearse carriage amidst the fog. So if you are planning of attending Dark Harbor this year, keep yours eyes open for Gale because you never know where she'll be creeping up on you.
Also, I just found an article from the Travel Channel on 10 Best Halloween Haunts and guess who made the list? DARK HARBOR! The only one in Cali to make the list! Boom!

Enough gloating about Dark Harbor, as for my cosplay stuff. I FINALLY finished my cutesy 11th Doctor cosplay. Just in time for Long Beach Comic Con, which is where I got to debut my cosplay. The cutest thing happened while I was there. A little girl, maybe the age of 8 or 9 years old, walked past me and said, "Mommy, it's a girl Doctor Who!" Her and her mom stopped and asked for a picture with me, and of course I couldn't resist a photo with her. The fact that little girl knew who I was, is parenting done right if you ask me! I wish I had a copy of the photo, maybe it will surface on the internet somewhere.
I don't even have any pictures of me in 11th Doctor yet, but I'll that will have to wait until October is over for a professional set of photos. I literally have no time to take any until this month is over.
Well that's it for now. I promise to be better with putting more blogs up on here from now on. Thanks for reading!

A Gentle Reminder
This morning I had the opportunity to enjoy a Q&A with Eric Stonestreet. As I've mentioned before he is an alumni of my school and comes to visit every couple years or so.
So, I've heard him speak before and this morning wasn't much different. We had an opportunity to pick his brain about the business. He is always filled with great information and is very encouraging to listen to. It took him 12 years before he was given the part of Cameron on Modern Family, the role that would declare him a success, the role that gave him a full time job as an actor. Also, little known fact, he was turned down for the role twice, but they kept coming back to him throughout the casting process.
The moment that really struck me however, was when he was asked about his experience winning his first Emmy. Eric became emotional and started to tear up. I could see the passion bubbling in his body. After toughing it out for so long, coming up with a little work here and there for 12 years, finally the accumulation of those years and his ever burning desire to continue in this difficult business truly paid off. He loves performing and it was his life's calling. I almost started to cry myself. But what he was feeling, summed up for me everything that I've been feeling the past several weeks.
Sometimes, most of the time, this job is hard and you will want to quit. But there is always this little spark inside saying, "not yet, keep going". Eric did, he kept going. He is passionate and that moved in me my own spark inside telling me that I am also passionate, even though I get tired and worn down. Sometimes, I forget. But I was reminded today.
Even though it was not verbally said in so many words, seeing how it affected him still after 4 years was enough. I connected with him and I understood, sometimes you don't even need words.
Thank you Eric for that reminder and for sharing a part of yourself with us.
