“Hey cutie,” Ezor grinned, hugging Acxia from behind, “How’s my lady doing today?”

Acxia swayed her hips, making Ezor giggle. “Well, I was thinking about making pancakes for my beautiful wife and I, after all, it is a day to celebrate.” She smiled. It truly was a day to celebrate. The last time she’d felt as happy as this she’d just married the love of her life. Days like this were rare and beautiful.

“A celebration huh?” Ezor slid off of her and leaned against the kitchen counter. “What would we be celebrating? I don’t remember anything happening. Unless… OH MY GODS, ACXIA!!!” She jumped up and down, squealing excitedly.

“Yup,” Acxia grinned even wider, “I found the letter this morning. Our adoption request went through!” She gasped as Ezor tackled her in a hug. “Woah there, don’t kill me now, what kind of example would that set for our children?” They both laughed.

“Our children…” Ezor sighed, “Gods, I just love the sound of that, don’t you? I’ve always wanted to be a mom.”

“Well,” Acxia smiled and kissed her wife lightly on the lips, “I just know that you’ll be a WONDERFUL mother.”

Ezor grinned and kissed her back. “As long as I have you along with me, I know I’ll manage.”
