Michael creates their wedding band himself.

Michael makes the ring himself, molten gold between his forging fingers as Adam watches the liquid pass over his skin harmlessly. A forbidden act of creation. Michael isn’t satisfied with a sterile outer coating, smooth and unscarred.

At the level of atoms, he reshapes it, a thousand years of partnership retold in microscopic engravings, an angel and vessel over and over in different arrangements.

(Some, strikingly intimate. Adam laughs. Michael still finds them important enough to immortalize.)

It fits their finger perfectly. The engravings glitter. The metal is cooling, and Adam brings it to their lips, sealed with a kiss.

since lucifer is canonically associated with light, ice and well, being the morning star, i kinda like the idea of michael being associated with black holes (gravity so powerful that it can trap even light…) and darkness (inasmuch as fire is also another aspect of him as per season 5) as the opposite to his brother. the concept of the archangels being linked to aspects of creation is also such a fun thought: the universe was dark for millions of years before the first stars formed, and michael is the oldest archangel.
