25% Hiatus

Hey guys. So I'm heading out on my family vacation in a few hours which involves an eight hour car ride to North Carolina. So I'm not going to be on until late tomorrow evening. Naturally I won't be on tumblr that often during my vacation since I will be doing vacationing activities. I'll still try to pop on at least twice a day to reply to posts and messages and whatnot. That is all.

20s AU

Alfred was walking around downtown Chicago, looking around at the closed liquor shops. He sighs heavily, he missed the taste of a good whiskey. It was too early to head to a speakeasy--since it was only ten AM. He takes a deep breath, slowly exhaling as he rounds the corner to his house. He still had some quality liquor stocked up before the ban on alcohol was enforced. Even if he didn't, he could get his brother to mail him a bottle of two--since he lived in Canada. When he got home he had a message from his boss to check out a potential speakeasy--it seemed all his boss wanted to do was shut down speakeasys. He never shut any down--since they were the only places to get alcohol now adays. He'd rather help shut down the increased gang violence--he was sure there were more mafia in Chicago since prohibition was establish--which is ironic because it was supposed to stop gang violence.

Alfred blushes, "A-Adam--" He covers his mouth, blushing deeper.

3-4 day hiatus

(( hey guys, so my grandpa died last week and I'm going to his funeral this weekend. So I'm not going to be on at all because there's no Internet where we'll be staying. To all I'm rping with I'll reply Sunday night or Monday night. ))

Italy, because my great great great grandma’s on both sides are from Italy and also I absolutely love to cook and my grandma has all these old home recipes from her mom that have been passed down from generation to generation and I would love to go there and eat and learn new recipes from the family. Also it would be a great experience to meet new people.

Arthur Kirkland walks into his first class of the day, a US history with a Mr.Jones. He sighs. He didn't really want to take this class, especially with a first year teacher, but the college had told him it was a must with his scholarship. He walks into class slowly as he looks around realizing he was the only one there. He huffs shaking his head. "Just my luck all alone." He shakes his head peeping up at the professor a slight blush sliding across his cheeks as he realized how handsome he was. He quickly looks back down at his books and waits for Professor Jones to start class.

Alfred Jones was getting ready for his first class of the day, and of his teaching career. He was a bit nervous, but years of field experience have left him more than prepared. Granted, he was still nervous. Who wouldn't be? Although unlike elementary, middle, and high school teachers, college teachers don't usually get blamed for a student failing a class. But he'd rather not have his students failing. Students started filing into the class room, finding seemingly random seats and sitting down. They started chatting with the people around them. Ah, the awkward first day of class. Alfred adjusts his glasses and checks the clock, about 5 minutes before class starts. Perfect.
