Note: @adarssuggestionbox feels it is "inappropriate" to share his imagination on his own blog and has asked me to post this here on my blog. Personally I just think he's being shy 😅 Between you and I, he has these little fantasies play out in his head constantly. He is always daydreaming about Brimby Mouse and Adar Kitty.

Adar's Day Dream

On most fine days such as this, Brimby Mouse had spent long hours scurrying about the delicately carved stone floors of the forge. Giant feet seemed to be sleeping or, at the very least, busy in other places as of late. So today, he could freely roam without fear of being in an unsavory situation underneath a large boot. Not that his pet giants seemed to mind his company or meant to step on him, on the contrary, he was often given divine treats and gentle finger pats each time he encountered one of them.

However, today nibbly bits were scarce due to their absence. This was good for Brimby mouse, as it gave him a chance to visit the large, scruffy black cat who lived in the garden just outside his pampered walls. One might assume that sort of company to be rather dangerous for one like Brimby. But this simply was not the case. For they were close, far too close for a mouse and a cat ought to be.

Such thoughts of his handsome kitty gave Brimby Mouse's itty bitty heart the largest thump he was sure he had ever felt. He then began to squeak to himself, "Yes, that is a darling idea indeed! I'm paw-sitive that he requires pleasant company today."

With that, he rushed to a potted plant upon a windowsill, borrowing a dew drop from its leaves. It fit perfectly within his paws and happened to be just enough to clean the forge soot from his face. Once that business was through, he bounced to and fro searching for the gift he had squirreled away.

He gasped happily with his little paws below him once he found it. The package was adorned with a scrap of beautiful green paper and an equally lovely thin gold ribbon. To Brimby Mouse, this parcel was quite large and bulky as it was nearly the size of his body. However, he was a very determined sort! The tiny mouse cleverly slipped his arms through the tightly tied ribbon holes, then slipped the present on his back as if it were a camping pack. Once situated, Brimby Mouse dashed across the floor and through a hole in the wall that led to the garden.

Meanwhile, tucked away in the most shaded place in the garden, Adar Kitty paced anxiously with his gift settled securely between his teeth. Suddenly, the black kitty jumped, turning himself about with his back legs twisting as if to dance in the air! The beautiful golden ring with tiny emerald gems that he had found flew through the air. It had landed in front of the little mouse, whose squeaky presence was the cause of his silly jig.

Brimby Mouse giggled at Adar Kitty's charming air. It always puts a smile on his face. "Good morning, deary!" He squeaked, pulling the package off his back. "The giant 'smiths' as they are called, are busy today. Their forge is completely empty, so I thought I would visit you a little early! I hope that I am not too early."

Adar Kitty trîlled in embarrassment but met his pretty friend with the same greeting as always: a little head bump. Such a greeting was enough to push down the mouse's whole body. But Brimby Mouse did not mind, as always would gift Adar Kitty's forehead with the biggest hug he could manage in return. Today was no different.

A strong pûr soon rumbled in Adar Kitty's chest when he felt his beloved's tiny hug. "I'm so glad you did, because I have something for you. So, never you mind how early you are. I simply adore your company, regardless of the time of day we meet." He mewed shyly, plucking the ring from its spot in the soil. Adar kitty did his best to dust the dirt away from its gems.

Brimby Mouse gasped, nearly dropping the package in his paws. "It is paw-sitively gorgeous! You saved this for me?"

" Yes, the moment I laid eyes upon it, I thought it would look lovely sitting atop your head." A red blush graced the kitty's black, fluffy cheeks. To him, Brimby Mouse was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. He revered Bimby much like a knight shows love for his princess. Such a love deserved a crown.

Brimby's honey-kissed fur glittered with pink in return. Without wasting time, he slipped the child-sized ring perfectly upon his head. Then he hopped to a puddle from the rain from the night before and gazed into it. His eyes widened, "I adore it! Thank you so very much!"

Adar Kitty was right, it did look exactly like a tiara. A soft coo rolled from his mouth. He did indeed have a tiny princess in his presence. This thought sent his heart dancing below matted raven fur.

Brimby Mouse squeaked shyly and then cuddled against one of Adar Kitty's large paws. "As it turns out, I have a gift for you, too! I think I said that already..." The mouse blushed in embarrassment, then ran to the package. He could hardly wait to joyfully place it in front of his kitty love.

Adar Kitty trîlled in surprise, as even the packaging was elegant! He carefully untied the ribbon with his teeth, allowing for the scrap of shiny paper to unfold. Placed neatly in the center of the bundle was a thin curled silver chain and a pendant with tiny violet gems. Adar Kitty looked astonished, blinking several times. "Thank you, my love! However did you manage?"

Brimby felt a sense of pride in his handiwork, since this was the exact reaction he was hoping for. " I made this at home special, just for you!" Brimby Mouse declared. Hours of gathering unwanted items that were kicked under work desks and toiling away in his own little forge in the walls very clearly paid off.

Adar Kitty's pûr only grew stronger when he felt himself mew repeatedly with joy. He leaned down to nuzzle the little mouse in gratitude.

Brimby Mouse giggled, squeaking in return. He hugged Adar Kitty's face pressing tiny mousey kisses against his nose, before he clipped the chain around his kitty love's neck. Then he tied the golden ribbon into a bow that rested on the chain. For the rest of the day, Adar Kitty played chase and rescue with his tiny princess while the big people were off sharing their own joys during their summer festivities.

I rescued another coloring sheet and did a thing 🤣

Stray Adar kitty at preschool today 😅 I think Adar kitty has a special sunbathing spot in a patch of purple flowers. Sounds legit to me.

how ironic, this page was crumbled up nearly into a ball. I had to flatten it out before I could color him during preschool naptime. Now I wish I would have given him claws🥲

Doll Supply Haul!!!

I was not planning on going to the craft store but here I am😆 I went out originally to drop work documents off today but the main office was closed. I'm brand new and work remotely with this job so I didn't know the main building wasn't open on Saturdays. I'll try again on Thursday.

But anywho, I was bummed so I decided to walk over to the craft store and pick up some supplies for doll clothes.

Celebrimbor's canon clothes shredded because brocade is like that. I really should have known better. It's not made for tiny projects but I was hopeful. It was at least pretty while it lasted. So I got this beautiful green crushed velvet for him instead. And I can sew seed beads along the collar to give him a little sparkle!
