His Name
Adam was a bit taken back. A confused laugh left his mouth as he looked at his husband from across the couch. “What?” Curtis sighed before sitting on the cushion before the teacher’s feet. “Can you teach me how to say Shiro’s name?”
He laughed softly again. “Sorry it’s just.... such an odd request.” He closed his book before setting it on his lap. Sitting up, the other had his full attention. “Why the sudden interest?” The younger of the two sighed.
“I mean... we’ve been married for how long now? I still can’t say his name right!” It honestly had never been a big deal to any of them over the last few years. It actually helped Shiro know which husband was calling him if he wasn’t paying attention.
But in reality it had been something someone said. In an attempt to get to know his step son better, Curtis took Keith to the carnival so they could bond. The other paladins accompanied them, but they split up as soon as they reached the grounds.
Just like when Atlas had made a pit stop during the war, it seemed to be the same type of alien running the entire gig. The former solider was still getting to know Keith, so the younger stayed close to him the entire time.
After all Curtis was married to his brother and father figures. Though the other still didn’t understand how that worked, he didn’t question it. As the day went on the two found them selves in a palm reading booth. Both found it rather dumb, but they were bored.
The alien had to have some real powers or magic because he read Curtis like a glove. It wasn’t his life line or his love line, no he was reading stuff you couldn’t tell by a palm. As the man ran his mouth, the sentence “What kind of a man still can’t say his husbands name?” came out.
So now the youngest of the trio was standing before the husband that could. “Curtis it’s okay. You don’t have to be able to say Takashi. Every know and then I just say Kashi.” He smiled lovingly as the other crashed on the sofa.
“I don’t think I can even say that.” Warm fingers ran through his dark locks. “It’s not a big deal, relax,” Adam giggled. The other was truly adorable. “How would you feel if I called you by a nick name all the time?”
The teacher shrugged. “If you can say Takashi then you can, if not it’s no big deal. Keith still messes it up now and then and Iverson can’t even say it.” A huff of annoyance came from the solder's mouth as his eyes narrowed.
“What if he hates me though? What if I still can’t say it years from now and he leaves me? Does he like me still?” The look of confusion on Adam’s face was priceless. “Curtis were grown men you are married. It’s not high school, Shiro doesn’t care.”
A poke to the socked sole made the older squeak. “Still... I want you to teach me. Please?” More pokes followed as Adam trued to pull away. “Fhahaine!” As the tickling subsided as body came between his legs for a hug.
“Dork.” Silence was the only reply. “Curtis, are you sure there’s nothing causing you to want to learn this?” The other sighed softly as he burrowed in to Adam’s chest. “I just... I don’t want him to leave me for such disrespect.”
Brown brows furrowed. Were they talking about the same Shiro? “Takashi loves you, you dork. Your too adorable not to.” A tired pout moved up to meet the other’s face. “I’m not cute. I’m a nearly thirty year old man... who can’t say one of his husband’s names.”
Fingers found his sides, making him giggle. “W-Whahahait! Ahahadam please,” the anxious one giggled as he squirmed around. “You gnna tell me what’s wrong,” the teacher asked as he glanced at the disgaurded book on the floor. “Yehehes, plehehease don’t!”
Curtis was a bit taken off by his lovers addiction to tickling. It wasn’t used as a kink rather than pure play or punishment. Not being tickled since childhood, the other found the feeling almost awful. He loved tickling the others but he wasn’t used to being tickled yet It was almost like a fear, yet something he still somewhat liked.
The fingers stopped as the taller curled into Adam. “I didn’t even get to tickle you,” the glasses wearing brunette pouted. Curtis whimpered before holding him closer. “Later?” Thinking for a moment, the other agreed.
After a few moments Curtis took a breath. “There was this ‘palm reader’ that read my mind I guess? And he looked me dead in the eye and said ‘What kind of a man doesn’t know how to say his husband’s name?’.”
After a few moments, a hand started to rub on the taller’s back. A sigh escaped Adam’s lips as he closed his eyes. “And he’s running a carnival by himself... with multiple versions of him self, and scamming people. The list goes on.”
He could tell the other was pretty upset still. “Curtis he has no place in our relationship. If Shiro has a problem with it, he’ll let you know. I can still help you pronounce it though.”
Brown met brown as the other’s head popped up. “I love you,” Cutris mumbled as he moved into Adam’s neck. “I love you too.” The sound of a door closing made them both jump. Turning they watched the white haired male walk into the door way.
Gray eyes scanned over the scene. “Did I... miss something?” A smirk came onto Adam’s face. “Oh... just some well needed tickles.” Smaller brown eyes widened before squeals left the Curtis’s mouth.
It would be a very loving and fun night.
