As soon as the little lion Remus Lupin had been freed from his torture by some friends, Antonin had decided to leave behind Hogsmeade ━ where the action was finally dying down, and make his way back to the castle. The streets were emptier now, he hadn’t realized how much time had passed while he’d let out his anger and frustration on his victim, and he figured most of them had gotten inside safely. Still, a stray curse that nearly missed him from a still on-going duel had him cast a protection charm, as well as an invisibility spell, to get him out of the village safely. Now that his mind had calmed down, he was being careful once again. 

There was a list of things he had to do, but his mind was hungry for one thing only ━ information. He had not been told of anything about this attack, which, considering his high rank with Grindelwald, had caused his intense anger and loss of control. Antonin understood the why behind the attack, revenge for the night with the centaurs, which he’d eagerly participated in, but he could not comprehend why the old man hadn’t let him or Draganova in on his plans. He should have been able to warn Lord Voldemort of this. Or Bellatrix, at the very least. She was also on his list, and after briefly checking to see if Zhenya had made it out safely, Antonin had decided to seek her out.

He lowered his head in shame as he approached, something that could be taken as an act, but was wholeheartedly true. Antonin did feel ashamed of his incompetence, of not being informed enough to know what was going happen. There was a good chance Bellatrix would harm him for that, but he was ready to accept whatever punishment she had ready for him. He deserved it, anyway ━ which was why he’d sought her out instead of waiting until she found him. “Lady Black,” Antonin figured, with what had happened to her mother ( news he’d heard in passing ), she was now the one to wear that title. He greeted her with the utmost respect, his eyes still cast down low, waiting to hear whatever verdict he’d receive from her.
