Hi love. I'm new to tumblr and am trying to get a good setup, how did you get all the tabs at the top of your blog (ask, personal posts, my food, etc.) and how do you get the pictures you post to go under the right category?

Hey! If you go to the ‘customise’ menu you can add pages of your choice to be linked on your blog. Click 'add a page', then click the drop down menu near the top left and select 'redirect'. 

If you tag a photo with "my food" and you want it to appear under the tab "my food", first click the little grey bar in the top right so it turns blue, so that way it'll show a link to this page. Then you choose a title to appear on your blog for people to click on.

Using my blog as an example, on the first line down it goes iamnotover.tumblr.com/url, and that's where you type down what you want the url to be, eg: iamnotover.tumblr.com/myfood. It's not really important what you choose, just choose something similar to the content you're tagging.

Then on the second line down you paste in where you want it to redirect to, which is the page where the tagged photos are. So for example, on my blog that url is http://iamnotover.tumblr.com/tagged/foodporn and that means every picture I have tagged with 'foodporn' appears on this page.

Adding Pages

People have been constantly confused and asking me how to add a page. Many theme makers have a Link 1, Link 2 or Link 3 option in the customize, but for many of my themes, I allow for several links. So to cut out all of the confusion, here's a step by step guide to adding links to my themes and many other tumblr themes.

Step 1:  Go to Customize

Step 2: Click "+Add a Page"

Step 3: Choose Standard Layout, Redirect, or Custom (if you know HTML)

Step 4: Type the URL. Example: "/links"

Step 5: Type the Page Title. Example: "Links"

Step 6: Check "Show a link to this page" (IMPORTANT)

Step 7: Add your content

Step 8: Click Save

Hi! Just wondering, how would i make a page for my blog, like people have face pages and stuff like that

Hey! Well if you want to make your things on that page available to gain notes, then make sure that when you upload your content you add your own personal tag in the tagging section (you can also edit the stuff you already have posted). Example tags most people use are 'mine', 'my photography' or even under their personal URL. (: Once your things are tagged then when you go to your blog, type in ...misadventuresofmine.tumblr.com/tagged/YOUR TAG HERE and all of the photos you ever tagged (or edited the tag into) will show up! Then you can just copy and paste that URL as one of your blog links that your theme already has open to be customized. Like for example you can change your 'Random' click link so everyone has easy click access to your original content. :D If you DON'T want them reblogged, you just want a page of your selfies or whatever just to be LOOKED at, then just go into edit your theme. Scroll down in your customization settings right near the bottom there's an option to 'add a page' click that and just upload your pictures in there!
