oh my god i really have a thing against people referring to me. and me referriung to other people. yes, in the general sense

using peoples names and people using my name feels deeply uncomfortable and personal. really cannot stand all the customers at work calling me "(+/- my) sweetheart/darling/love/dear" etc. i am not any of those things, dickwad, i am a sainsburys employee. leave me alone

dont wear my name badge anymore because people would just randomly use my name and i would feel like i had just been struck with a mallet. reverberating throughout me like a fucking gong.

i also avoid having to use other peoples' names like the plague. it feels far too personal and i am deathly afraid i have misremembered their name (or half the time cant remember their name at all). feel like using someones name is gonna get me in trouble?!?

definitely worse when men do it too. i can feel how they are percieving me and i dont like it. i dont know how they see the awkward, spotty faced, short-ish hair etc and think. wow i am going to flirt with this person. i know im very friendly but it is just because that is the only way i know how to mask and it is very draining. also it is almost always people much older than me.

though when people call me "mate" or variations-thereof. amazing. no notes. i feel like i am serving my people and my country. i will approve their alcohol with pride and remove security tags like my life depends on it. o7 to those people make my fuckign day.

In the spirit of halloween I’ve thought up an Au I like to affectionately call ‘The worlds worst Vampire’ Au,

This ended up being a bit of a thought dump so I’m putting it under a read more lmao

Steve Harrington is indeed  a vampire.

Except he has managed to dodge almost every single vampire stereotype while simultaneously only managing to acquire the dumbest parts of vampire folklore. (A few examples, he cant use a mirror and has to use the reflection in his pool to style his hair, he once got stuck outside of Dustins house for an hour because he didnt explicitly welcome him into his house, eating garlic makes him violently throw up and break out into hives, he gets sunburn ridiculously easily, he also cannot walk over streams and rivers, any food that isnt meat has the same effect as milk to a lactose intolerant person. He has near chronic tummy aches because if this lmaooo)

He gets all these negative side effects and the only bonuses are: ever so slight strength (no, he cannot bend metal, but he can rip a demobat in half), can kinda see in the dark, and he can turn into bat(that being said, turning back into a human is a whole other ballpark. The first part is easy, the second is not) As you can imagine, the guy is really not too fussed about the whole Vampirism thing in general and treats it more like a nuisance than anything special

Enter Eddie ‘definitely had a vampire phase as a kid’ Munson who’s frankly appalled at how un-vampire-like Steve is and you have the perfect storm of someone determined and crazy enough to try and teach a vampire how to actually be a vampire.

Shenanigans ensue.

Tiny lore question: Assuming they do, what does Fair Gloria use in place of gendered titles?

Instead of something like king or queen ,the monarch of Fair Gloria is the Sovereign, and their child the Sovereign’s Heir or simply just The Heir.

Instead of Sir and Dame, all Knights are referred to with Ser.

Instead of mother or father, they use Par (when speaking to their parent specifically, otherwise they just refer to someone’s parents as their parents), although young children use more cutesy names, sometimes unique to them.

And Fair Gloria doesn’t use titles like Mr. and Miss/Mrs. If an adult is referred to with a title, it’ll be by their profession, otherwise they are simply referred to by their first or last name depending on the situation/relationship.
