Cannot believe I’m doing this, but fuck it ima try classpecting SEES and posting this in honour of 4/13. Apologies if I get this wrong, I’m going off of vibes and facts. I also used @homestucksimplified guides to help and some of @classpectanon uquiz’s so check them out if you can cause they've got great classpect analysis. Also P3 spoilers.
And of course, happy 4/13. Despite all of its flaws, Homestuck is good.
Knight of Space- Minato Arisato
Knight's are known for having facades, and Minato is without a doubt the fakest idgafer ever. He pretends to be apathetic to the people around him, yet is the one to save the entire universe because he loved so much it created a miracle. As SEES only wildcard and field leader, the responsibility he holds is immense and his story is about working with the world despite the harm it’s caused him.
Rogue of Blood- Yukari Takeba
Yukari redistributes blood by connecting people with her stubborn determination and her desire to live life to the fullest. Despite the rocky start she befriends Mitsuru, helps Junpei out even if he annoys her, and always stayed true to her defense of her father. Even with complicated relationships like with her mother, Yukari's relationships are all about how she always gives throughout it all even if it’s messy. She's kind in how she can befriend people and push them forward after her walls come down a bit.
Thief of Hope: Junpei Iori
Junpei has always had an idolized and genuine desire for heroism and he sort of falls flat on that fact when it warps his brain- it’s what leads him to be jealous and somewhat resentful of Minato. But as Junpei matures and actively puts his ego aside to support Chidori, he becomes an actual hero for the people in his life and inspires genuine hope in the face of darkness.
Witch of Light- Akihiko Sanada
Akihiko is interesting cause to me as he's not the more common version of brain and brawns. He's a massive himbo jock, but he is smart and caring in how he defends those around him and using whatever he has for his own convictions in getting stronger. In a sense, Akihiko manipulates his own luck and what he knows to get what he wants, which is getting strong enough to face anything.
Maid of Breath- Mitsuru Kirijo
One thing about Mitsuru is how she's chained to responsibilities, those being the sins of the Kirijo group, what happened with Shinjiro, and her upbringing distancing her from relationships to other people. But throughout the story, she gains freedom and works to push it forwards for others. She says no to a shitty arranged marriage, she forgives herself for what happened with her father, she rides her motorcycle with the knowledge she's free to make her own choices. Also yukamitsu reference.
Seer of Life- Fuuka Yamagishi
Fuuka is a deep understander of life, being able to analyze enemy weaknesses and wanting to live to the fullest in improving her skills in cooking and electronics. Her own interpretation of her powers is to connect people through her persona, in a sense know about life enough so she can share it with others. She also puts a lot of time into gardening with Minato and her room is filled with flowers so make what you will with that.
Page of Heart- Aigis
Aigis is a robot, one who by the end of P3 finds her true identity. She also focused so much on how she interacts with the world and whether or not she deserves human connections. So in a sense she grows into her humanity and fulfills it, just like a page. Aigis also has symbolism in her papallion heart and how her persona went from Palladion to Athena show her deep connection to heart in general.
Sylph of Void- Koromaru
Classpecting a dog was hard but eventually I settled on this one. Sylphs heal through their aspect and Koromaru heals by just being in the background and being a support for his friends. Koromaru is a pretty passive character and usually more subtle in characterization, but always there to help his friends. He also already knew of the Dark hour before joining SEES and is always aware of the secrets of other characters like Shinjiro's doting nature.
Mage of Mind- Ken Amada
Mages have an abundance of their aspect yet suffer from it at the same time. Mind is also connected to Justice, and Ken deeply suffered beneath the concept. He knows far more than any ten year old should and is burdened with deep psychological trauma’s and barriers that distance him from others. Yet his knowledge and concise decision making continues to aid himself and others. He’s a smart kid who knows a lot and eventually finds true justice.
Maid of Doom- Shinjiro Aragaki
Oh Shinjiro, shit went so bad for you my guy. Shinjiro is a character that wrecks things and himself, drowning in his self hatred after accidently killing Ken's mom. He believes it's best for him just to die and be doomed, but he still uses his power to help SEES regardless. And just like how a maid overcomes their aspect in a sense, Shinjiro does find small ounces of hope before he dies. Cooking again, protecting Ken, and signing his readmission to return to school- he may be doomed and make doom, but he grew along with it as well.
