World Tag League Update

Following a death in his family, Chase Owens has withdrawn from the tournament, forfeiting his and Bad Luck Fale’s five remaining matches:

Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI, Tetsuya Naito & SANADA, Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare, Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher and Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste each receive two points as a result.

While this doesn’t significantly change anyone’s path to the final, it does leave the two teams on 0 points with even less margin for error than they already had.

Due to some unforeseen IRL complications, I’m not going to be able to cover the rest of the G1. Normal service should resume with the next tournament.

Additional TAKA Update

Following on from Saturday’s news about TAKA Michinoku, it has now been determined that his injury is severe enough to warrant missing the rest of the tour, and consequently forfeiting his remaining tournament matches.

Marty Scurll(10) & Yoshinobu Kanemaru(6) each receive two points, however, as they are both mathematically eliminated, this will not affect the contest to win A Block.

Minor A Block Update

Due to a leg injury, TAKA Michinoku will miss Day 10, forfeiting his match against Dragon Lee, who gains two points as a result.

While this doesn’t significantly change the steep odds against Lee’s winning the block, (he’s out if Takagi wins another match), it does at least keep him on track to win the minimum of 13 points he’ll need to have any chance at reaching the final.
