"Contentment vs Happiness" Self love & happiness, can be good as it can be bad, Happiness can leave you wanting more, more than you already have, Self love may lead to only caring about your wants & needs, Please take heed to what I say, Many dictionaries say the two, Happiness & Contentment, share the same view. It's plain Indeed, I disagree! You can be happy and yet not content, or in reverse the same is true. One may not be happy while being drenched in the rain and in the same token, contentment One can choose to maintain, Be happy - sun is out while discontentment... there's a drought! What one values and to what degree is important you see, Your values as a man might bid you to go to war, and yet for another man, those same values bid him to stay ashore. Self esteem shouldn't be taught first but rather secondly, LOOK at the bigger picture; being content won't cause sin, self pride or to the need for greed. Contentment is not given so easily, 1) You have to learn it, 2) You have to practice it, Paul says he learned to become content, Paul said he had to practice at it. It's not quickly recieved or sent, even Paul knew hunger and in the same token knew what it was like to be full. Maybe he wasn't happy to be hungry but no complaints were heard either way.
