✖️️ Is there something you don’t like about your special interest?
i was hoping someone would send this one in LOL. i fully don't get the hype around last life (s2). maybe it's the povs ive watched, but it's hyped up so much in fandom and i found it to be too convoluted. sure there's only three extra people, but 3rd life's cast size was PERFECT, last life had so much going on towards the end. the addition of randomized lives 2-8 (iirc), plus life trading, PLUS the boogeyman, PLUS the addition of the restriction on red-green alliances.
i never understood why you would implement a restriction on red-green alliances, btw. especially on a season where the boogeyman fills that niche. conceptually i get players becoming like a hostile mob, but i feel like it makes the rest of the season not matter. the whole point of making alliances is that they mean something. in third life, alliances sticking after people went red made the season interesting. it's what led to the faction war! so idk why you would change that.i definitely had more to say but im continuing this a day later so um. yeah

DID YOU KNOW? martyn inthelittlewood is overall the best ranking player in the life series, despite never having come in first place. in both s2 and 3, he came in 3rd, and he has yet to win a season! conversely, statistically the worst ranked player in the series is jimmy solidaritygaming, surprising no one, as he has come in last place in every season. poor guy
here is the chart i'm referencing! (by tumblr user empiressmp) admittedly, results are skewed because of the variation in cast size and the fact that some players have not been in all season. but still cool to look at!
also, interestingly, the only two players to continually improve their ranking through all seasons they were on have been pearl and cleo, though pearl was not on season 1.
