Synopsis:

One night, while gazing at the night sky, Simon, a boy who dreams of adventure outside of his village, sees a girl fall from the sky.

Moon, the girl who fell from the sky, has no memory of who she is or why she's here. She also possesses strange powers that neither her nor Simon fully understand.

The two are now on a journey to regain Moon's lost memories and find where she belongs.

Meanwhile, those from Moon's past seek her out---aiming to kill her and save their realm from destruction.

Writing Snippet #5

The stars glimmered faintly in the inky sky, and the sound of owls seeped in through the open doorway. The small fire crackled and popped every few minutes, and the hut was warm, almost too much to bear.

Four blankets were spread out on the dirt floor, the bright fabrics too cheerful and abrasive for the somber silence that filled the room. Two figures knelt on the blankets, occasionally reaching out to let the warmth of the fire ease the ache in their bones.

Two pairs of eyes had met more than a few times from across the room, and now that wounds had been tended, they could now talk.

"Why did you do it?"

His voice shook, eyes full of concern and confusion. He moved over to where she sat on the floor, reached a hand out to touch her fingers.

She stared at him, eyes wide, unyielding in determination as she answered, her voice steady.

"To keep you safe."

Thank You Mother Ocean

Thank you mother Ocean.  For all, for everything. 

Not only for being essence of life. 

Providing oxygen for us to breathe, affecting the climate for us to feel and shape, forge the earth for us to live on. 

Without, we wouldn’t be here at all  or would be inhabiting a much different place as the Earth that we call home today. 

We forget to stand still and reflect upon and appreciate what you provide us with. 

Thank you mother Ocean. 

  You have so far along the journey, and still are, teaching me so much every time I find myself absorbed within you. 

You taught me, how to follow and adapt to the flow of my surrounding environments. 

You helped me release, all my worries and all other turmoil found within. 

I found acceptance in letting things be. There are greater powers surrounding us that we cannot fight. Give in - free and powerless. Understand that not everything can be controlled. 

Your power of destruction, your power of giving life  - a fragile balance - astonish me like no other. 

You allowed me to find myself within your dark Abyss. Feel it. 

You were with me as I fought my fears, conquering what before was seen as unthinkable. As you pushed back, you gave me the opportunity to find and define my boundaries. I respect your decisions like no other. 

Thank you mother Ocean.

    You are a sacred place. My religion, my temple of belief. A way of life. 

Home: yet, a whole new world to discover, everyday, exploring what is yet to be found.

Thank you mother ocean for everything you have given me and taken from me. All lessons learnt so far, and all that is to come. Grateful for having you in my life.
