adhd!jj and some jemily — emily speaks in other languages to jj sometimes, especially when she’s panicky or overwhelmed, and jj repeats words even though she has no idea what they mean, because they feel nice to say. this however means jj has a habit of repeating random words in other languages to herself that make no sense when she’s overwhelmed, and whenever anyone is there who understands the languages (alex blake.... 👀) they get very amused because she’s talking utter nonsense in like seven different random languages
Oh my god this is great! I think the first time this happens Emily is overwhelmed as well bc she isn’t sure what to do so she just starts rambling in spanish and when she notices that it calms JJ, she realizes that it’s helping. So from that day on every time JJ needs it, Emily will tell her stories of her childhood in other countries in that country’s native language.
When her girlfriend is gone, Alex Blake takes up a parent role/ is person that is best at calming JJ, she notices JJ saying really random words in Spanish or Italian like ‘cupcake’ or ‘boat’ and she starts the laugh softly. When JJ looks up at her, Blake smiles and is like “Did Emily speak to you in other languages to help calm you?” and JJ nods shyly and Blake nods and starts to tell her stories in different languages whenever she is overwhelmed.
she likes that jj wants to include her. she likes that she’s standing up for her.
she likes feeling like a part of the family.
(or, the team get together for pancakes and jj invites emily along)

Emily coming home late from work after JJ had gone home and finding JJ cleaning and moving furniture around paying no attention to anything around her and when Emily’s asks JJ just says “my brain won’t let me stop cleaning. Also I cleared out the attic.”
Omg yes. Emily gets home and the kitchen is SPOTLESS and JJ is in the middle of moving the couches in the living room and Em is like “Jayje?” and JJ looks up like a golden retriever like “Em! Look! The kitchen is clean and I’m almost done with the living room!” and Emily just smiles and helps her so JJ can sit and relax

Hello I would like to present: Penelope having to clean up adhd!jj’s desk while they’re having a conversation bc it’s bothering her.
ADHD JJ ripping a leaf or petal off of every plant she passes only to completely rip it apart, and the team having to constantly try to stop her
omg yes i do this! The team is constantly trying to have JJ on the the far end when they walk she she isn’t closest to the plants, but she always finds a way to get a leaf. Sometimes Emily will take JJ’s hand to try to get her not to do it because they’re literally in a police precinct
Ok I’ve seen Alex and Elle, but how do you think Emily would react to JJ being non verbal
I think the first time, Emily would be very thrown off. She would walk into JJ’s office and be confused as to why JJ isn’t responding to her.
“Are you okay?” and JJ would look up at her with like pleading eyes, hoping she’ll somehow figure it out, and when she does, a lot more makes sense now.
“You can’t speak can you?” and JJ would shake her head and look all sad but Emily would hold out her hand and say “What can I do?”.
They’d sit on the couch cuddling and Emily would draw patterns/shapes on JJ’s arm with her finger while JJ taps on Em’s leg to fidget. Emily would hum softly and it would be really relaxing.
When JJ can speak again, she’s overwhelmed with emotion, and this is the first time she says “I love you.”
