Sam and Kit neurodivergent coding
(I am actively making adjusts in this post)
I think Sam autistic-coded while Kit ADHD or AUDHD-coded and in this post I'll show the canonical evidence I gathered and some interpretations of mine.
(Pretty pleeease read, it is taking me a lot of work)
Disclaimer:
I am not diagnosed with autism, and I am not a specialist!
Do not use this to diagnose yourself and do your own research if you can!
Symptoms varies from person to person!

Now Lets get it started!
For starters, I will be mentioning some traits that are linked to their species, and, yes, these count too, this is how coding works.
Sam
SPECIAL INTERESTS
-sleuthing and investigation (surprise-surprise);
-should I add tea and honey?
RITUALISTIC
-Values punctuality;
-ritual with preparing tea;
-the way he leaves his things ready for the beach symmetrically.
OBJECT ATTACHMENT
-He is super attached to the Clu-bots and is very sad when anything happens to them;
-he got very upset when his favorite mug broke, even leading him, the oh so called big detective, to accuse Kit;
-the chicken hat.
STIMULATION
(This one a relate to him SO MUCH while I wrote it I was like 🤨 sus)
-Sensitive to heat, wetness, strong smells, mud, sticky textures (like the spider web) (ugh everything overwhelms this guy, he is just like me fr);
-and, mind you, Kit mentions Sam as a good swimmer, he really just hates being wet; (source: sleeping stories)
-picky eater;
-Gets easily distracted by noise; (ex: Kit humming distracting him multiple times);
-touch averse (recoils when people get too close except for Kit and kids. ex: him uncomfortable when Reggie touched his back in his second appearance and stepping back when he wasn't looking; the chinchila lady touching his fur, whitch he got a bit used; director Scratch getting too close in the beggining of penguin episode) (but also to be fair they weren't really respecting his personal space).
STIMMING
-practices expressions in the mirror( common practice in autistic community);
-the little dance he does when excited;
-dancing without noticing and getting lost in it? Should I add that?
SOCIAL
-You can interpret Sam's lack of Animal knowledge as him struggling with social rules, it does affects him socially anyway, to the point to affect his job.(been there fella, actually I am there right now)
-Very empathetic;
-Good with kids;
COGNITIVE INFLEXIBILITY
-finds safety in repetition and struggles with new things, like new food (the sweet potatoes) or changing gears (went back imediatly when his glove were fixed even after mastering the visor, that he disliked the whole time)
Kit
HYPERFOCUS
-Kit shows various hyperfocus, she has a lot of hobbies, she paints, draws, collect seashells, rocks and feathers. Oh, and, the dunk.
OUTSIDE THE BOX THINKING
-Kit is known by her unusual says of doing Things, which is usually something ADHD folks are forced to repress even though it can lead to the more creative outcomes! Good thing she is allowed to do use it in her work.
MEMORY
-Kit has an amazing memory when it comes to her special interests. Outside that, she needs a lot of reminders.
HYPERACTIVITY
-Regulates energy through movement (cartwheels, motion)
-Can be guided into stillness/focus by Sam’s guided meditation
-She workout before sleeping time to spend her energy (source: sleeping stories)
-Has problems with sitting still (the ants episode)
EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION
-Executive dysfunction tendencies;
-Clutter room;
-Forgets food to mold;
-Always losing her things;
-Procrastinates to do her chores.
STIMULATION
-Enjoy different textures, tastes, and smells;
-Enjoy food with strong smells and taste (the stinky cheese and the very salt food);
-She doesn't admit or doesn't notice when she is overstimulated (she took herself to her limit before admitting the smell was too much for her in that one case)
-hearing sentiveness.
IMPULSIVITY
-she eating the cookies too fast without thinking about the future;
-she choose her room by Impulsivity, then asked to swap it by impulsivity and swapped it back by impulsivity.
STIMMING
-Hums when cold, distracted or trying to focus without even noticing;
-Does cartwheels till she gets dizzy to relax.
COGNITIVE INFLEXYBILITY
-refused to eat the waffles because of their unusual shape.
Conclusion
I think one of my favorite things about the show is how it shows the positive things about neurodivergency.
Sam and Kit are exceptional, they are different and this is a good thing and a good message for the kids, both neurodivergent and neurotypical.
Also I like how CLADE let them be themselves. I like to think that the smell purificator thing and the Ispy visor being made specially for Kit as accommodations. This is inclusion.
Scratch saw their struggles and instead of trying to fix them she assembled them together so one could cover each other.
