I think that Luz only likes to eat the egg's yolk and Amity only likes the egg's white so every time they happen to have eggs for lunch or smthg they'll split them and give the part the other likes to the other bc i do this with my bestie and I think it's a top way of showing love

not to be adhd on main but Luz’s ‘outbursts’ throughout the episode really felt like emotional dysregulation. Like her anger is completely justified but the way it’s portrayed and voiced really reminds me of how *I* get when *I* get a sudden burst of anger. It’s not outright stated in the show but to me Luz is pretty consistently written as someone with adhd and i wouldn’t be surprised if her anger in this episode is an extension of that consistent characterisation.

Amity doesn't clearly stim very often unless she's really excited, like in WILW, but she often plays with abomination goo when she's alone because she rlly likes the texture

Azura is 100% her special interest, and she often hyperfixates when learning new spells and casts them obsessively until they're perfect

She also stims in the form of writing in her diary, which helps her calm down if she's stressed

Amity never talks about it to her parents cause the one time she brought it up her mother got mad because "You have nothing wrong with you, stop exaggerating, you know it's important to be perfect, don't show such weakness"

The twins support her tho, and cover for her if she ever gets too overwhelmed and say that's she studying in her room

She was very scared to say anything to Luz about her autism, but she finally got the courage and Luz was like "Omg that's so cool, I have ADHD, and people say that they're pretty similar, and people who are neurodiverse get along really well with other ppl like them!"

Amity is super relieved, and it's probably the first thing she's ever heard about it that's not negative at all

Also Azura Book Club is just Luz and Amity infodumping to each others for hours every couple of days and they both enjoy it so much cause they're really on the same wavelength

Luz's "Condition"

One of my favorite headcanons for Luz is that she is ADHD and two ideas that have stuck with me are A) her school didn't have very good resources in dealing with students who had special needs which is why she had so many issues and B) whenever anyone talked, the principal, Luz's teacher, even her mom, they specifically called it "her condition". And after a while that was how Luz came to think of it too. And it made her feel bad because it made it sound like she had some kind of weirdness disease that made her different from everyone else.

So maybe one day at the Owl House, after Luz has had some issue with some magic Eda has tried to teach her, Luz admits that she had trouble with her lessons back home too and tells Eda, in a pained whisper, about her "condition" and how most teachers had simply brushed her off as trouble. Eda of course just rolls with it.

"Eh, all my teachers used to say I was trouble too. But sometimes a little trouble is what kids need to learn."

"And you don't care about....whats wrong with me?"

"Luz, there is nothing "wrong with you". And even if there were, well, Im not exactly in a place to throw stones."

And Luz feels even happier to be on the isles because its nice to have someone who doesnt judge her on that.

(If anyone with ADHD reads this and feels the need to correct me on anything or feels any issue with post, just let me know. While I like the headcanon I don't want to insult anyone who has it.
