5 days after the year started, I think I have the goals I’d like to work toward this year:
1) Be better at creating a routine for myself. I am healthier when I have momentum for the day, whether I’m at work or not.
2) Read more actual books. I fell into the habit of letting the internet replace books, so I have so much catching up to do.
3) Try to do something creative every day. It’s ok if I can’t do it every day, but it’s time for the creative hibernation to end.
4) Maintain my environment. I have a real bad habit of letting my space get cluttered to the point that I feel bad spending time in it. No more.
I don’t like “resolutions,” because they’re a great way to set myself up for guilt spirals and eventual failure. These are things I can work on, but not beat myself up about if I let them slip a little.
I just wanted to put these out here, because things aren’t real unless other people can see them too.
