QUESTIONS FOR ME:
1. If you could have any career in the world, what would it be?
If I were a better writer then I would be a travel blogger and just spend my time hopping from one place to another and get by financially by writing about the stuff that I did. I like data analysis and I’m good at it. Stats are my friend. Considering leaning more towards investigating data scientist in the future though since I have the computer bug in me again.
2. What is the last thing you watched on Netflix?
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. I’m late to the game but totally hooked!
3. What are your most listened to songs?
Right now I’m on a Rammstein kick. Der Haifisch in particular. Prince’s Purple Rain is still at the top of my list. I’ll always listen to anything by Johnny Cash too and especially love his cover of Hurt. I also listen to The Marshall Mather’s LP and the Eminem Show a lot, especially when driving all night on road trips.
4. What was the last book you read?
I have not yet completed it but the most recent book I read from is The Places That Scare You: A Guide to Fearlessness in Difficult Times You by Pema Chodron. The last one I completed was A Preferred Blur: Inspections, Reflections and Travel in All Directions by Henry Rollins. Apparently I like books with long titles. :)
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
That’s a good question. I’ve been asking myself that a lot lately. Been considering a move, perhaps internationally, and don’t really know where. I vacillate between that or just continuing to live where I do and spending my summers traveling to all the places that are still on my list. Maybe Tokyo (my Japanese is horrid but would improve significantly!), perhaps Berlin (German is rusty but I was pretty good at that for years), Australia would be awesome if only for the giant killer spiders....maybe just someplace like Queens or Phoenix or Seattle...
6. Would you feed someone oatmeal raisin cookies and tell them they were chocolate chip?
Ewwww...no. Oatmeal raisin cookies are gross. If I like you enough to give you cookies I wouldn’t do that to you. On the other hand, if you like oatmeal raisin cookies, then let me know because you can have all of mine! I won’t even try to trick you with them.
7. What’s your favorite smell?
hmmm...right now I want to say jasmine. But any other time it could be gardenias, pizza, fresh cut grass, sex, green apples, leather, peppermint, sweet potato pie, the decay that is only appreciated in the middle of a deep forest, sawdust...
8. Is there a food you love but cannot eat?
Lobster. Tastes delicious but I just can’t bring myself to choose one to be boiled alive. Actually, I love meat and and finding that harder and harder to eat as well. I don’t think it is wrong to eat animals but I think it is wrong for the animals to ensure the crap that is done to them so we can eat them. More and more I am buying from small, local farmers so that I can worry less about that.
9. Is there a food you cannot get enough of?
Sweets. Ice cream is a particular favorite. I’m fussy and won’t eat the cheap, low-quality junk but give me a raspberry marscapone, some La Maison truffles or some sea salt caramel Talenti every day of the week and I will be happy.
10. Are you more a beach type person or snow type person?
I have always been more of a snow type person but I did get to spend some time on the beach not too long ago and it was quite delightful. Much more so than I remember. Will try again!
11. Are you a person that loves rain and thunderstorms?
YES! I love to watch them and even be outside in them. They energize me.
