Keep the Glam On || Hyeji & Dasom
A sweet escape. What a beautiful treat not only for the junior and senior students of Seoul National High School but also to the alumni's as well, courtesy of course by their president, Hwang Junmyoon and his committee. The lights were all set to shine on them gleamingly. The music did not disappoint too as it elicited them to affects of happiness and bliss. The night started just right. The media wasn't all that mean surprisingly. They actually gave the students the luxury of time to enjoy the night, or were the present officers just too good at doing their jobs? Nevertheless, it was all too perfect... well almost. Song Hyeji, seeing her classmates and friends dance with their prom partners, was rather being melodramatic at the moment, regretful of how no guy had asked her out for this special night. She had been wearing a dreamy look, a frown was evident with how her light pink-tinted lips had formed, her eyes, almost narrowing not with animosity, but with the wary thought of how it would turn out if someone did ask for her for tonight.
Last year's prom, she had no problem with having a partner. Yang Jiho was all too willing to keep her company for the whole wonderful night. As arrogating and demanding as he was, he did made her feel like a princess that night, although he half-badgered her on to becoming partners, threatening her with all the secrets she shared with him, it was all meant for the fun though. Besides, they were still friends after all. Another year was supposed to be spent with him, if not only for the Kappa Sigma ball he had to attend to. That ball. If it weren't for that ball, she'd have Song Jirin and Song Miyoung guiding her earlier for this special moment. Even her Jirin unnie stepped out from her motherly duties from Minhyuk when it was time for her prom last year. Instead, her unnies had find it more important to attend the ball with their own respective husbands. It's unfair.
But what was even more unfair was that, as much as she wanted a certain someone to attend the ball with her, she couldn't. How could she even when he won't even show himself to her? Absolutely disturbing. She had always gotten everything in the past so easily but ever since he got stuck in her candid mind, it seems like there were more difficult things in life than she had imagined. She leaned on the table yet again, her right hand on her cheek, casually nibbling on the folded fingers her mouth could reach. She could just hear her mom virtually scolding her with her manners. "Otteoke~ You're not even here umma."
Good thing though that she still had her so-called date for the night with no other than her good friend, Son Dasom. Hey, it was still grand, wasn't it? Who gets to have a date with the prime minister's daughter? No one but the special Hyeji because she's awesome like that. She convinced herself, straightening up her back from her seat, intuitively turning her head to the side only to find Dasom approaching her, certainly glowing with her white dress and her long hair curled on the ends. She smiled at her, glaring and glowering playfully afterwards as she neared Hyeji, coming from a dance that Hyeji herself had convinced Dasom to. "Hey, how could you dance with him for so long and leave your own prom date just like that? So annoying.."
