Buddy, I still remember and hold this comic dearly to this day!

Heck, it's even inspiration for some aspects of the world I'm building for a TTRPG that I may or may not run. Like, whenever I workshop details about the world's godlike figures, I keep drawing parallels between them and the Family because in a way, their stories are fairly similar (the oldest disappearing, leaving the rest confused and worried; a creation that is actually a crucial fragment of a shattered creator; a creator that resents creations because the latter (nearly) killed their sibling; etc.), to the point that I’ve started calling them "The Family" as well.

The similarities weren't intentional of course, but since I've noticed, I can't unsee them and keep making references (much to my twin's, one of the players, confusion; they've yet to read the comic 😆).

I have a question about that scene when Pax was attacking the Custodians and injured Teller. After telling the Custodians to leave, Teller clung to Pax and it looked like Pax's essence (or maybe it was his fur, not sure?) was wrapping around Teller's hands a bit. It looked a lot like how Pax's body reacted to Seeker's touch. Could you explain what was this about?

Sure! The best way I can explain is that it's the reverse of Seeker's situation. It all has to do with recall.

Pax still had his recall at that time, but his body was extremely unstable and more or less looking for anything it could grab and take back in. When Teller touched him, Pax's body instinctively started to grab at him, hoping it could pull in something of itself again. It wouldn't be able to completely unless Pax actively recalled him, but it just needed something.

That was Seeker's case too. She had an unstable body made of recall, and its instinct was to pull in more of itself - or perhaps get itself back? Whichever way you want to word it.

I've just noticed something peculiar: when Seeker is crying, there are two very distinct tear tracks per eye. Like, one would think that the tears would flow starting from one specific point along the bottom edge of the eye. The only time I could conceive two tear tracks from one eye would be if the tears were flowing from both corners of the eye, which is not the case here.

I don't know if there's any meaning behind this, or it's just the way the artist draws tears. If it's the latter case, then please disregard what I just said! I mean no offense! 😅

(Oh, that's mostly just me! I did two tear tracks based on the lowest point of the eye and the corner of the eye, which is where I personally shed tears the most [usually when I wake up and yawn in the morning; my eyes are annoyingly watery]. I've never been satisfied with any particular way anyone draws tears, but at the very least I didn't do it at the highest corner of the eye, I guess?)
