A big thanks to @minnie-lanterns For being the inspiration that finally got me to kick my depressed self into action to sing Eugene’s solo. They’re a beautiful soul, and should always sing and never stop singing. Thanks for the inspiration. I missed singing so much. I cried while recording this. This song always reminded me about the things I used to love and who I used to be - if the actor/singer/stage nerd/choral geek was really me or just a façade I put on. Eugene putting on all these masks to figure out who he is is relatable. When you finally think you’ve found your ‘home,’ it’s thrown into question. I’m in a place where I’m questioning who I am, so in a weird convoluted way, I can relate to Eugene.
