“BLUE ROMEO” is first single from the forthcoming A.D. MANA album that’s slated for release some time this year.
The Berlin based project exceedingly captures the thin line between blurred nostalgia and aesthetically pleasing Goth-pop, as evidenced on his latest track. “Blue Romeo” is a decidedly moody affair in comparison to last year’s “Take Hold,” and this moodiness suits Mana well.
There’s a pinch of post-kimono Drab Majesty in the space-wave arrangement, as those first few bars set the tone with synths and an echoed beat propping up a liquid-like vocal. There’s a sultry streak running throughout “Blue Romeo” and its fuzzy neon aided video treatment courtesy of Mana and Alex Akers (Forces).
