WHISPERING SONS are back with a new single, the delightfully dour “WASTE” and word of their long awaited debut LP titled ‘IMAGE.’

The Brussels based five-piece have been making a name for themselves over the past few years by spreading their menacing take on post-punk across various singles & Eps. Whispering Sons have a knack for the maximizing their minimal arrangements, as further evidenced on their latest offering.

“Waste” is a slow build that would make Nick Cave & his Bad Seeds awfully proud, as the track works from quiet cool to caustic collapse, all while never losing its menacing luster.

Fenne Kuppen’s ever androgynous voice once again steals the show & shrouds the group in a perilous hue, as she matches the group’s arrangement blow for blow. There’s simply no avoiding the pull that Kuppen deploys across the Sons’ body of work.

PAWNS are back with a second single titled “Damascus” as they ramp-up for their new Ben Greenberg (Uniform) engineered LP ‘The Gallows.’

The NYC based group: Gage Allison (vox), Noel Mateus (guitars), Jenna Rose (bass), Saleem Batniji (drums), bring the brooding trad-era deathrock on their latest. “Damascus” kicks off with a military beat courtesy of Batniji before falling in line as Allison commands the room over a bed of skeletally ringing guitars and a thudding low-end. 

PAWNS have brought the pain once again, so call it punk, call it anarcho, call it goth, call it whatever the fuck you want, just press play and enjoy…
