Remember?

Remember when we were kids and Christmas was so exciting?  You would wake up so freaking early cause you couldn’t sleep cause your so damn excited and you can’t get your mind off of what gift you might receive.  Like, it used to be a surprise of what gifts you got and you got SO MUCH GIFTS, well for me at least.  The tree used to be loaded with presents from all sorts of people, but now.  Now you don’t get that many gifts.  Now the gifts aren’t a surprise anymore cause you know what you want.  Now the things you do want cost so much damn money its crazy.  As we grow up Christmas just doesn’t seem as exciting anymore.  You don’t believe in Santa Klaus..or Clause?  anymore and you don’t bother with waking up early on Christmas morning anymore.  It’s kinda sad when you think about it huh?,  But I guess that stuff shouldn’t really mater anyway.  Christmas is supposed to be a time to spend with your family and friends and to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.  But i guess that last part depends on what you believe in….. but anyway.  Just some thoughts I had.  Buh-Bye!

What does Christmas Mean to ME

Well for me Christmas means coming together with your loved ones and sharing a nice meal, opening up presents, and consuming all kinds of unhealthy food.  Oh, also all the cleaning you have to do after your family leaves your house.  Sigh its a lot of work but its worth it.  Well that’s about it.  Buh-Bye

Hey!  So Eclipse is back reviewing another Christmas movie called “Miss Me This Christmas.”  This is gonna be a short one because I don’t have anything good to say about it and i literally watched like not even 20 mins.  This movie is about a couple, Regina and Franklin, who decide to divorce at Thanksgiving. As Christmas approaches, Regina stays in the same hotel where they got married. She starts a whirlwind romance with Ulysses as she tries to rationalize that her marriage may be over.  Anyway let’s get on with this review.

Facts: So um this movie is really new and there isn’t anything much about it online so. 

My Thoughts: So first off the acting is so bad and cringey like its hurtful to even watch.  and the story line doesn’t even seem that interesting.  the characters add nothing to the story as they’re bland and just not interesting.  The story is clearly not going anywhere good so its just a waste of time.  Also, the scenes seem lame and predictable and just so bland man geez,  I guess one good thing about this movie is that ....well.....the entire cast is black?  idk y that would matter but ehhhhhhh if you care there you go.  The actors aren’t ugly either. And the setting isn’t bad i guess. 

LOL so yeah there we have it.  This is my thoughts on the movie “Miss Me This Christmas”.  This is one of those movies that shouldnt be added to your Christmas list of things to watch.  I give this movie a weak 2 out of 5 just because I wanna be lil nice and hey its not as bad as i may be making it sound.  Its just personally i wouldn’t waste my time with it.  OH and by the way i will not be posting tomorrow as i will be super busy cause you know its Christmas and i do wanna spend time with my fam so yh Buh-Bye!

Christmas Lights - Coldplay

    Hey!  So today I’m gonna do something a little different.  Usually I analyze movies or shows but today I’ve decided to be a lil different and analyze a song.  I’m technically not going out of my umm…… boundaries because you know the theator consists of many things.  Anyway since It’s the Christmas season I’ll be analyzing “Christmas Lights” by Coldplay

    I believe that song is about a couple that had a fight around the time of Christmas and they broke up.  The thought of spending Christmas alone without the one person who you love with all your heart.  He’s singing about someone he’s lost and he’s wishing she could be part of his Christmas.  The couple gets into a fight on Christmas Eve and the guy walks through “Oxford Street” and reflects on it, however, the  Christmas Lights give him a sense of security and happiness “May all your troubles soon be gone.”

    This is pretty good tbh.  Sorry it’s so short but eh there’s only so much I can do.  I do really like the song tho.  His voice sounds really nice and soothing and its great.  Anyway I rate this a strong  4 out of 5.  Buh-Bye!

Hey! It’s Title Thursday and this week’s review is going to be on a movie called Fences. This movie is about a man named Troy Maxson (Denzel Washington) who makes his living as a sanitation worker in 1950s Pittsburgh. Maxson once dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player, but was deemed too old when the major leagues began admitting black athletes. Bitter over his missed opportunity, Troy creates further tension in his family when he squashes his son’s (Jovan Adepo) chance to meet a college football recruiter. Yes I did just copy and paste from google. Fight me. Just a disclaimer this review is based off of my own opinion so yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. Anywho let’s start the review.

Facts: 1) Fences is a 1985 play. 2) The time period is during the 1950s. 3) In 1987, Eddie Murphy planned on being Cory in the play, however, he was already a decade older than the character.

4) Fences is the third Denzel Washington’s theatrical project in his career as a director. 5) Paramount Studios purchased the rights of the film back in 1987.

My Thoughts: First of all I would like to applaud the actors of this movie. The scenes are really really long and there are so many lines they have to learn it’s crazy. The acting is truly the best thing about this movie. The actors did a stellar performance and I applaud them for it. They made me feel the same way the character’s felt. Now if your planning on watching this movie I must warn you, it is long. 2 hours long. The scenes are very long as well and it can get boring. For me, however, I don’t think it reached the level of boring but it is boring. Like it’s not the most exciting movie. The story line is calm and the conversations between the characters are very realistic. We talk about a topic for a long time and then we switch to another and talk about that for a long time and then the cycle goes on and on. All in all it is a good movie but I think it could have more exciting.

I personally do like this movie (guess that says how boring I am lol). I give this a solid 2.5 out of 5 stars. Anyways see you guys next week. Buh-Bye!

Hey! Its Theater Thursday an- oh wait a minute. Its the last Thursday in September which means its time for Character of the Month whoop whoop! The nominees will be from all the reviews that I've done this week which are Adore, Shadowhunters, and Attack on Titan. I just wanna say that the honorable mentions part is in no particular order. Oh yeah, sorry if you don't agree with this list but keep in mind this post, like all of my posts, are based solely off of my own opinion so your bound to disagree with me. Without further a dew let's begin.

Number 3: This spot will have to go to Simon from Shadowhunters.  I relate to Simon in some ways. He was very awkward and shy at the start of the show in season one and he didn't really break out of his shell. But as the show goes on he kinda found himself and he started to be more confident. Yes he's still that awkward person we all know and love but he's more confident in his self now. This is kinda like me. I'm a very awkward and introverted person and I use to not know what I want in life. I use to just go wherever life took me and not really care. But now I have goals and a path that I want to go on. Sorry I went on a little tangent lol.

Number 2: I have to give this spot to Mikasa from attack on titan. I simply think she's so gorgeous and honestly she stands out to me.

Honorable Mentions: 1) Ian from Adore because he really loved Roz and I felt bad for him because he was so sad when him and Roz had to stop sleeping together. 2) Eren from attack on titan just because um....well....he's the main character and yeah lol, 3) Armin from attack on titan because he's the underdog and I can't help but root for him. Also I think his character is really like-able.

Number 1: THE CHARACTER OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER IIIISS........... Sasha from attack on titan. I picked her because I relate to her character on a spiritual level. She's always eating and if you see me you can bet your chances that I'm munching on something or going to get something to eat. Throughout the anime whenever she was shown I couldn't help but saying ME ME ME all the time.

Anyway congrats Sasha on being this month's Character of the Month. That's all I have to say so yh. Buh-Bye!

I HATE MYSELF

I....AM....SO.....AWKWARD. Like for example, I could be talking to someone right and I can never make enough eye contact. Like in my mind I'm like "is this too long" "ok lemme look away now before this starts to feel too intimate". Then if I'm standing up talking to someone like Idk what to do with my hands. I may pull my hair, I may scratch myself, I'll do a lot of things just to like....do something with my hands.

I....HATE...STUTTERING. When I was like in primary school I started stuttering and idk how it started. It just happened. It used to be so bad like I couldn't even get my name out. It always made me feel bad about myself and self-conscious and I barely talked to anyone. I guess that's why I have so little friends now. I'm happy to say though that I've gotten a lot better and I can speak more without stuttering. Now I can read in front of the class or say a speech without too much difficulty. It still happens from time to time though but it's nothing like how it used to be and I'm so happy about that.  

I'M...SO.....STUBBORN! Like honestly when my mind is set on a certain decision or way that something should be it's hard to change it. I do try to listen and look at both sides and both views and try to come to a compromise but it's hard. Guess that's one of the curses that Cancers have I guess. But I do think of myself of a fair person now that I've grown a bit and matured a little bit more.

But in all honesty, I am happy with myself and these are all just things that make up who I am. Sigh, I think that's enough bashing myself and spilling all of my tea. Buh-Bye!

Hey! Its Theater Thursday and today I will be reviewing an anime called Attack on Titan. Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous Walls that protect them from Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason.

Facts: 1) Out of all the branches in attack on titan The Garrison branch is the largest of them all with a total of 30k soldiers. Those in the Trainee Corps are considered in this total until graduation, however, they only make up a 3rd of this total at 10k. 2) This next one is.....unbelievable. The editor Jung-Hyun Park got arrested for killing his wife. 3) For some reason Levi likes to sleep in his chair instead of a bed. How is that comfortable? 4) Levi sadly suffers from Insomnia. 5) Mikasa's scarf may be a reference to the “Red string of fate”, which in Japanese folklore represents an unbreakable connection between soulmates or lovers.

My Thoughts: HOLY CRAP. First of all I would like to say that no way should kids be watching this anime. Its really gory and the constant death is no good for children. But anyway. The anime starts off great with a bad ass theme song to hype us up at the very start. The animation never ceases to be dull or disappointing like other anime. The show doesn't over sexualise their female characters with unrealistically large boobs and butts like most anime and its like a sigh of relief. Don't get me wrong seeing those unrealistic parts are fun but it's so often that it gets annoying you know? I respect them for this. Bro the fight scenes are crazy and so violent. You have the characters doing freaking acrobatics with those....their gear and moving at such high speeds to. The gore in this anime is sometimes a bit overwhelming at times. It's like every episode we see someone being ripped apart by a titan or seeing when the titans are biting into them and their blood splatters all over the place. It's a lot to handle sometimes. I found myself feeling sorry for these characters as you never know or they never know when their gonna die because there is so much death surrounding them its crazy. I would be so afraid to live in the world of attack on titan because those titans are so creepy and just ugh. Scary. Like just imagine your washing dishes or something and out of nowhere a titan is staring at you from the outside. THAT WOULD FREAK ME THE HELL OUT. But maybe that's just me who knows lol. The characters are not properly fleshed out throughout the first season but throughout the second you will get to know them a bit better. The writing can be a bit cheesy and repetitive sometimes but the plot and mystery of it all is pretty nice and very engaging. But despite everything I found myself bingeing the entire show in like 2 days.

All in all I personally love attack on titan and recommend it to you guys. I rate this anime 4 out of 5 stars. Anyway see you guys next week. Buh-Bye!
