Hi, My name is Erin Trae and I was wondering if I could talk to Pietro? I'm really tired of the blatant disrespect I get from my family, my father in particular. He raids my room on a regular basis even though he promised to make sure I was around if he wanted to search for SHARPS, not just straight up trying to find something to use against me. He regularily guilt trips me for things that happened years ago that aren't even my fault and uses my mental illnesses to invalidate me. (1/2)

Not to mention he knows I don’t like contact with him (or people I don’t 100% trust but he hasn’t caught on to that) and he is always putting his hand on my lower back and it makes me very uncomfortable and he doesn’t care. Not to mention that I have a severe heart disorder that eventually will make my heart stop out of nowhere and my heart has been super bad recently but he doesn’t care in the slightest, usually responding with “cool,” or “that’s not good” then leaving ugh

I may sound a bit silly here Erin, but what’s SHARPS? But with your father guilt tripping you into something, you really need to speak up. Your father shouldn't do that and if he’s coming into your room just to find something to use against you, you need to find a way to stop him. Could you lock your door or maybe go to someone else’s house every now and then to get away from them? If your dad is using your mental illness against you, you really need to speak to a professional. It isn’t healthy for someone to comment and make you feel bad for something you don’t have any control over. 

You should tell your dad that you don’t feel comfortable with him touching you. If it’s you do it subtly or tell him straight, you have to tell him. i don’t know how to put it but you need to put your health first. If he isn’t taking any thought and care with your heart problem then you need to speak to someone you trust. Just think of what would happen in a worst case senario, would he walk away then? I doubt it, he’s your father.

Hey this is to anyone...you can call me pippin. Currently my older brother is visiting and I don't like him at all. He's very prejudiced and bigoted and goes off on these racists rants a lot, regarding the police violence that's been happening. I hate it. I get really worked up whenever hes around and have to leave the room but my parents get upset that I don't spend time with him. But the thing is I CANT spend time with him. He's way too toxic to my life and is very problematic. What do I do? X

You should explain to your parents why you don’t like being around him. Explain that what he is doing is toxic to you. You shouldn’t have to put up with something you don’t like. If you feel like you cannot spend time with him, then do not spend time with him. Your comfort and stability should mean more than socializing with your older sibling.

Hello Q.

Your nightmares seem to be very extreme. Would you mind telling me what happens in your dreams? You should try talking to a specialist or a therapist if your nightmares are effect on your life. Some people have made connections to things that happen in our sub-conscious to things that are happening in our everyday lives. Maybe something that has happened to you has triggered these dreams. Do not feel you have to under go these nightmares alone. They should never be suffered on your own. Sometimes you need to let things off your chest and see what other people think.

Black Widow, I am sorry but I do feel ugly, I always have done and I have been trying to change but I can't change my physical appearance anymore. I look in the mirror and cry I break down in changing rooms. I picked cosplays I should have because I know only beautiful people can pull them off and that is not me. Lilly, you shouldn’t have to change your appearance to feel beautiful. Not all beauty comes from within. But if you feel so uncertain with your appearance, why don’t you talk to someone about it? A friend or family member? You shouldn’t do a cosplay to be beautiful, you should do it so you feel beautiful and enjoy your day. You decided to cosplay as me, right? Well, make me look amazing in your eyes. Make me be a part of you on that day. Cosplay as me and make yourself feel strong and powerful. You are always beautiful and you’re beautiful to me.

I am feeling so self-conscious lately, I just feel so fat and ugly lately and I just can't take it anymore. It is getting really hard. I have taken so many steps to make myself different, feel prettier but none of them work. I am just so down with myself. I am cosplaying Black Widow at the end of the month but I just feel I am going to look horrible and suck. This rant was kind of pointless I am sorry. ~Lilly

Many people feel self-conscious and you have no reason to think that you are ugly. Everyone is unique and beautiful in there own ways. You should never feel that you are ugly. Everyone has flaws and imperfections they wish they didn’t have, but they are what make you who you are. I’m thankful that you are cosplaying as me, and you will rock it. I put my money on it that you will look great. I’m going to let you in on a secret Lilly, you do what you want to make yourself happy and you should never care what other people think because you can live freely and happily if you only enjoy what you’re doing.

Black Widow, do you have any suggestions for validating one's experiences? I'm constantly having to justify to myself both my sexuality and the fact that just because I wasn't there at the time doesn't mean my PTSD isn't real/affecting my life/etc. Especially with the PTSD, I would love to be able to accept that this is a disorder I have because I feel like I'm stuck. Thanks!

You should never have to justify your sexuality and your PTSD to anyone. It is how you are. Your PTSD, no one can tell you it isn’t real. Those people that are doing that are out of line and have no right to say that. You know what you’re going through, and unless you have told them, they don’t know what you is happening to you. 

PTSD is an actual disorder, it’s an anxiety disorder. What ever caused it, if you don’t want to share with me it’s fine, must have left a very deep mental scar on you and for that reason alone you shouldn’t let people say it isn’t a disorder. If you have to pull up a google search page of PTSD then you do it because you do not have to suffer extra stress and worries.

Could I talk to Pietro? I'm pretty upset right now. I've always been the more studious type. But kind of recently I've been getting into sports and other stuff too. For the past two years I've tried out for the track team and both times I failed to get in. I just found out today that I didn't qualify AGAIN and I'm so disappointed in myself. I have gotten better, I'm sure in that. But it just doesn't seem to be enough. What should I do?

Many many times people try to get into teams and clubs but can’t and that doesn’t mean anything. Many people have succeeded in places they were told they never could. It might be because your coach doesn’t think your ready for it. Think of it this way, if you don’t do so good in a certain subject do you go back and read over it? I think you would. With your sports, you need to keep training until you reach the level you need to compete.

You should keep going at it. Don’t give up and don’t let this little problem stop you. Keep at it.

yo, you can call me tj. this is for nat please! i just feel sorta envious towards other people? because they seem to have so many friends (although i only like having a few friends) but they seem so much closer then my best friend and i. i dont know, i just get on facebook and see my friends being successful, having so many opportunities and such? (part 1)

(pt 2) and i just feel like i have nothing going on, like no aspirations or anything. also my best friend is going to college soon and shes the only person i hang out with which sucks and we only talk in person rlly bc she doesnt like texting. its hard for me to meet new people because im homeschooled, and my friend who lives in another state has stopped texting me first because i think his other friend or whatever has replaced me so i dont really have anyone to talk to and it just sucks.

Envy is a strong emotion and its very common. But it sounds like you’re in a very tricky situation there. You might just be feeling like that because you haven’t really experienced making friends in a situation like a public school and that might be effecting you. If your friend is moving away why don’t you try applying for the same college or even try going to social groups around you to get to know people around you. Your friend in another state, did he suddenly stop texting you or did he gradually stop? Maybe you should try asking him why he stopped? 

When you go on Facebook, why do you go on there? Do you go on there just to see your friends success or do you go to see other things?

But tj try going out, for a walk or a bike ride or something and try to talk to some people. There is never damage done in trying.
