I'm officially taking this blog off hiatus! Look forward to your daily Magnemite content resuming tomorrow ♡
There are two ways to enjoy a game: the way the developers intended, and the way the code allows you to.
And that’s how glitches are born.
I’m Admin Mag, and I’m the resident glitch expert here at pokeoddities! I also run the blog @magnemite-propaganda and my main blog is @mala-sadas. I’m an aspiring game programmer, and I love glitches in Pokémon, from the Mew glitch to the Pomeg glitch to acid rain to Sky Drop glitches. So, I’m going to be telling y’all about glitches, bugs, and oversights from all seven generations of Pokémon!
Now, it’s pretty common knowledge that Gen I (and Gen II, to an extent) has a lot of major bugs and glitches, so there are tons of articles and videos and explanations about those glitches out there already. That doesn’t mean I won’t cover any of them here, but I’ll put more of a focus on glitches from recent entries, since they aren’t as common knowledge. I find it fascinating that even modern games that have more time and resources put into them still have some fun glitches to try - even if they aren’t quite as visually exciting as earlier glitches in the series.
As for the format of the content I’ll be posting, I’ll be explaining what each glitch does, why it happens - if I can find an explanation - and how you can perform them yourself! I’ll also post images or video of me performing the glitch myself, unless there’s some reason I can’t, in which case I’ll post images or video of someone else performing the glitch.
[Full disclaimer: I don’t have a 3DS or DS capture card, so the quality of these images/videos won’t be great. I may use an emulator to take clean images of the glitches in games from Gen I-Gen V, but all of these glitches can be performed on a cartridge with no cheating devices required!]
That’s about all I have to say for now, so keep an eye out for this look into the glitchy world of Pokémon games!
Hi.
I don’t normally like to get involved in discourse, especially on Tumblr. I’m just here to have fun and love Pokémon. I’ve never even followed bulbasaur-propaganda, just knew that he kinda started the Pokémon propaganda trend.
But after everything that’s been going on, I - like a lot of the community - have decided that I want to distance myself from him because I don’t want to be associated with someone like that. So, I’ve decided to change my blog’s url to separate myself from bulbasaur-propaganda and better reflect what it is I do here: love & appreciate Magnemite.

Top 5 favorite Alolan Pokémon? Alola doesn’t get enough love imo
No, it doesn’t! Alola’s Pokémon are great, and they deserve way more love and appreciation than they get! My personal favorite Pokémon from Alola are:
5. Togedemaru (another round electric/steel boy!)
4. Mimikyu (ghost type? wants friends? super powerful? heck yeah)
3. Charjabug (battery bug is shaped like a friend)
2. Sandygast (it’s a ghost sand castle...what’s not to love)
1. Litten (kitty!!!)
spread some trubbish love?
First off, inanimate object Pokémon are great. I love seeing stylized versions of regular objects being brought to life through Pokémon! And Trubbish is a perfect example of a great inanimate object Pokémon. It's recognizable as what it is - a garbage bag - but it's simplified and made more appealing to the point that it's actually adorable! I just wanna see Trubbish smile, man, it's so cute when it smiles!
top 5 starters?
Hmm, that’s a little tough...I really love the recent starters a lot! I’d have to go:
5. Popplio
4. Rowlet
3. Fennekin
2. Litten
1. Snivy
Top 5 eeveelutions ?
Ooh, that’s an interesting one! I’ve used all the Eeveelutions at some point or another, but there are definitely certain ones that left more of an impact on me than others!
5. Umbreon
4. Espeon
3. Sylveon
2. Vaporeon
1. Glaceon
Some appreciation for the Popplio line mb?
I love the Popplio line!! I mean, they're singers, and I've mentioned before how much I love music-inspired Pokémon. Popplio is adorable and I want to give it a hug, Brionne is like my absolute favorite shade of blue and its frills are super cute, and Primarina is like, literally a mermaid and mermaids are awesome. Also, Sparkling Aria and Oceanic Operetta? They're like, the most beautiful moves known to mankind. Both in animation and name. I love all of the Alola starters dearly, but Primarina takes the prize for having the best signature move and Z-Move of the trio. Popplio might be my favorite Water-type starter of all time because every member of its evolutionary line is equally amazing!
