You weren’t really feeling right for the past few weeks. You may ask, “Why? Doesn’t she have friends to help you?” Well, you do, but you’re feeling like they’re not. You have tried to ignore this feeling of sadness but you couldn’t anymore.Of course, your friends could probably understand how you’re feeling, but you would feel like they don’t understand your feelings. Your best friend and a crush, Shiro, understood how you felt but you thought he didn’t.
You had hidden in your room and you didn’t allow anyone inside with you, not even Pidge or Allura! You didn’t know what was overcoming you. You didn’t want the paladins, Coran, and Allura to hate you. You wanted them to understand that you wanted to be alone and that you didn’t hate any of them. You just wanted them to understand that you needed some time. The others kindly understood and let you have your space.
You sighed as you curled up on your bed. You didn’t want to feel this way. You didn’t want to feel this depressed and alone. Your chest felt heavy and you felt like you were going to cry, but she couldn’t let any tears out. She felt scared for some unknown reason at all. Her best friend was Shiro, and you knew that you could trust him but….you didn’t want him to worry about you. You knew he cared too much about you and you respected that. Shiro cared about everyone and he didn’t want anyone to give up until they got to see the sun again.
You didn’t really care about your feelings like you cared about everyone else’s. You wanted to make sure everyone was okay. You needed to cry, you wanted to cry, but sadly, you couldn’t because you had fought your tears for so long that you have learned to just not cry I guess. You hugged your pillow tightly and buried your face into it, not feeling up to getting out of bed today, thus making the other paladins, Coran, and Allura feel bad and worry about you.

You were singing to yourself under your breath to some music in your head. You wanted to go back to Earth, but sadly you couldn’t. You missed the rain and you missed the green grass…but you couldn’t see any of it. No matter how hard you tried…You just couldn’t…She also missed seeing the stars at night…But what you didn’t know was that the paladins, Coran, and Allura were standing outside your door, listening to you.
“Hold me now, till the fear is leaving
I am barely breathing.
Waking up and letting go, to the sound of angels.
Am I alive or just a ghost?

You sighed and pulled your blanket over your head. You were trying to get your point across that you were always letting go of yourself to save other people. You were terrified to lose the other paladins because you cared too much, but not as much as Shiro cared about you. Although, you didn’t know that Shiro had opened your door because you were so deep in thought and she mainly wasn’t paying attention. Shiro silently sighed as he watched you, hating to see you so upset with yourself.
“Hope is slipping through my hands,
Gravity is taking hold.
Said I’m not afraid, and I am brave enough,
I will not give up until I see the sun.”
You knew that everyone believed in you and that you needed to believe in yourself as well. You knew you were brave enough, but you didn’t believe in yourself that much to know that you were brave. You knew you were brave and she wouldn’t give up. Shiro watched you with a saddened look on his face; He wanted you to be brave and he didn’t want you to give up. He wanted you to see that you were capable of being a paladin. Allura and Coran had told him to give you space(No pun intended), but he couldn’t stand seeing you suffer. You had tears blurring your vision as you laid under your blanket.

I need you to catch me.”
You couldn’t take it anymore as tears began rolling down your face and Shiro’s eyes widened. He tried to walk up to you but Allura grabbed his arm and shook her head as if trying to tell him not now, and he stepped back with his arms crossed. He couldn’t let you cry yourself to sleep anymore. He knew that you cried yourself to sleep because you missed Earth. The truth is…he did too. He looked at Allura and the others with a worried look before he looked back at you, biting onto his bottom lip a bit.
“As I Burn, As I Break, I Can’t Take It Anymore.
I return to the place where the water covers over everything
Rescue me somehow…”
Now, you were crying and you needed someone to hold you and to tell you that it was okay. “It’s okay..” is all you wanted to hear at this moment. Tears were rolling down down your face and you managed to quietly choke the lyrics out. Coran and Allura both looked like they were going to cry just by hearing you sing the lyrics out between, but Shiro felt his heart break when he heard this. By then, Allura had let go of his arm and he slowly walked into your room, not wanting to make a noise and not wanting to startle you as you cried into your pillow. Shiro then sat on the edge of your bed and placed his hand on your shoulder, causing you to jump and look over at him, tears rolling down your cheeks.

He said exactly what you needed to hear…
