the nohate awareness week 2.0 was a success!

even better than the last one, i was amazed at how well it was received and i’m so proud of everyone who participated (or thought of participating but couldn’t)!

thank you so much for the beautiful posts and for all the love going around, it was a blast and it definitely made me feel better about the fandom!

but i also think it’s important to remember that this is a philosophy to follow everyday and not only during one week; be nice to people, spread love.

fandoms are supposed to be fun, not hateful. and remember that no matter how much you disagree with someone:

real people > fictional characters

I'm sorry for sending such a sad ask but.. All the AOT content that I create rarely gets any attention from all the people in the fandom and is really making me sad. I put so much love into everything that I do, and even though I'm just an amateur, I still feel very bad.. Like I don't even feel part of the fandom because nobody pays attention to my stuff or interacts with me at all. Do you have any suggestions or comments on this? :(

honestly, the only thing i can say is, show yourself.

interact with people, send them asks, talk to them! if you see someone looking for fic recs send them yours. notice someone looking for art/edits of a certain ship that you actually draw/edit for? send them links of your content! as long as you don’t spam people, you’re fine. and use tags, remember the only first five count on tumblr. reblog your own stuff.

have a nice, easy on the eyes theme and a tagging system. an about page also helps since people feel more comfortable following when at least they know a little about you.

you can also join networks like this one, it can help quite a lot.

but more importantly, don’t cry over and over again about how other people have more followers than you, that get more attention than you. start acting and doing something about it.

Hey! I applied to you guys as a writer a bit ago and I read all your FAQs, so I'm curious if there is something else I should do? I'm pretty new to the fandom but write a decent amount of fanfic.
