vane and jun unable to sleep after watching a horror movie, but neither will admit that the movie scared them (okay this one is the cutest)
this took ages, I'm lazy and have zero imagination some times so hey mon, I'm writing again!
You both stared at the screen as the credits from the movie appeared. That last scream made you jump on the couch. It didn’t help that you were stupid enough to watch a horror movie while it was raining. It was so cliché and you thought it was probably a matter of time before karma slapped you in the face and cut the power off. Junhui was the first to stand up, going for the light switch, the lights illuminating your living room again.
“It-it wasn’t that bad” he said, taking the empty bowl where the popcorn was before ending almost all thrown in your floor every time there was a horrific scene on the screen.
You felt his footsteps behind you when you got into the kitchen, the bowl in the dishwasher for tomorrow.
”well, we gotta sleep” his nonchalant expression seemed awkward. You nodded, heading to your bedroom, you heard the door in front closing while you turn on your bedside lamp. You started checking your phone when the power cut off. You knew it, karma was coming for you for forgetting to separate paper from plastic that morning. At least your phone was charged. You breathed slowly trying to calm your heart starting to beat faster. You heard the knocking in your door before junhui’s face appeared, the light in his phone illuminating his features.
”just checking out how you're doing?
”I’m okay”, you wished that didn't sound as trembling as you felt. The room getting colder. Junhui was still at your bedroom’s door, his arms inside his t-shirt as always.
”can I sleep in your bed?” your eyes were used to he darkness by now because you could make the outline of his face looking at the floor. It wasn't uncommon for you to share a bed; usually, when you studied together or were too lazy to get up to the living room to binge watch some series, you stayed in your bedroom which had a tv.
”yes, no problem.” he climbed into the bed, only then you realized he had one of his dozens of cat plushies. The one you won at the last local fair for him, you would have smiled if there weren't thunders. You stared at the ceiling, the lights coming from the window barely making any shadows on it. He put his phone on your bedside table rapidly before dipping into your bedsheets, snuggling to your side comfortably.
”Your blankets don’t cover my feet!” he said pretending annoyance. ”Well, you’re the one who’s tall as fuck.” You glared at him when you felt him scooting even closer, though you were sure it was too dark for him to actually be threatened by it.
”Why is the curtain moving”, junhui asked, the blanket covering half of his face now.
”the window is open. I forgot to close it.” You said, seeing how some drops of rain wetted the floor. It wasn't that bad, but the cold was invading through it.
”You’re the room guest, you do it.”
”Fine, ” he played but he was already uncovering himself from the bundle of sheets. He knew he always lost. He turned on his phone light again to see the floor all nine-feet way to the window before closing it, coming back quickly, his plushie hugged tight and sheets almost over his eyes.
”You’re not scared right?”, the teasing tone as your facade. You hoped it worked.
”The movie? You know the girl died when the power cut off.”
”it’s all fake of course.”
”Right, Okay, good night.” you turned over, lights from the lamp out.
”Yeah, goodnight.” it was two full minutes before you felt him stir, his chest against your back already, plushie in between.
”Wanna watch some videos of cats I have on my phone?”
