Hey gabe. Its rochelle. So I came out to my mom and it didn't go so well. She told me we would talk abt it later. And she still won't let me cut my hair (i'm gonna do it anyway)and she's basically ignoring what i told her. To her I'm still a cis(1/2)
Girl. But it hurts to be misgendered so much. Going into the women’s restroom is so hard. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing someone so feminine. It looks so wrong. Idk. I’m stupid. (2/2) ~rochelle
Hey there, Rochelle.
Hon, there’s nothing wrong with the way you feel. It’s completely understandable and even normal for the situation you’re in. It’s not fair of your mom to not accept you the way you are, and I’m sorry to hear about it.
If she doesn’t make the effort to talk about it “later” with you, you could try bringing it up again, or maybe going to a more supportive family member. And for now, just remember that you are whoever it is that you are, no explanation necessary. Stay strong, kiddo.
Your angel, Gabriel
