5. What is one thing they do that can negatively affect their relationship with friends?

Kill them in a Redcliffe cell. Refuse to kill Loghain. :D

Seriously, Alim will put ideals and principles above friendship to the point of killing a friend or destroying a friendship. He's concerned with the greater good and can muster some temporary emotional distance when he needs to. He's young and morally rigid when he first leaves the Circle and it will take some growing up and several years in a relationship with Zevran before that tendency gets toned down to any great degree.

6. Their romantic relationships?

All work, no pleasure. His single-minded focus on his studies after being made the First Enchanter's apprentice ended a long term relationship.

It helped contribute to a rough couple of years after the Blight while Alim and Zev tried to sort out their relationship.

8. What mistake(s) do they continue to make/have not learned from?

That sometimes what is right is not good and vice versa. Alim can provide a long list of reasons why executing Jowan was the right thing to do but it was not a good thing for anyone involved. When Anders blew up the Chantry Alim was ready to hunt him down and repeat the same mistake (this was before Selfy became my canon Warden and romanced Sebastian - things may have to shift). Despite Zevran's influence in the art of having some moral flexibility I think Alim will continue to mistake the two.

9. Name some of their major physical shortcomings.

There's nothing major. There are some things that potentially could have caused issues. He has some major burn scars on his back and arms that could have been an issue in terms of flexibility and movement but Wynne made sure they healed well. Maybe down the road though. He's a bit careless when wading into battle and, when it comes to himself, a sloppy Healer.
