“Hi, Just wanted to let you know Garfield (now TJ) is doing great.
He is perfectly at home with the other animals and eating like a pig! Thank you Kitty Devore for the paperwork on him and the AMAZING box of goodies and blanket from K. and her assistant D. :) You are a fabulous rescue! Truly!
Here is TJ enjoying both the box and the blanket!
Thank you again and happy holidays!” - J.
GARFIELD, NOW TJ, ENJOYING HIS KD ADOPTION BOX Garfield and his two brothers, Taylor and Fillmore, were rescued from Devore Shelter by the KD Team in July of this year. All three were adorable orange medium-haired kittens. And recently, all three found their forever homes - each with a different family. When a KD kitty is adopted, within two weeks of the adoption date, we send out a box filled with goodies as well as important stuff for our former foster kitty's new family. Inside, adopters will find a letter of thanks for adopting one of our special foster cats and for welcoming them into their hearts and homes. Also included is an adoption certificate, a copy of their approved adoption application and agreement and an overview of all the vetting and medical procedures a kitty has undergone while in our foster care program along with all accompanying invoices, veterinary notes and test results. We feel it's important our adopters have this information so that, if needed, they can show it to their veterinarian to verify certain procedures have been done, when and where. We also provide information about their newly adopted kitty's microchip transfer - which happens 30 days from the official aodption date. But inside the box, there are also fun things for their new kitty to enjoy. Each box contains a fleece blanket made with love by Wrapped In Love - (http://www.wil4u.com and https://www.facebook.com/groups/artisanswithamission/about/), a group of artisans with a mission who make blankets, toys and other items specifically for rescue groups. Kitty Devore Rescue is so honored and proud to be affiliated with such a wonderful organization and so pleased that each KD kitty, when adopted, receives one of WIL's adorable and snuggly blankets. We also include a Cat Dancer toy, several smaller toys, two packets or cans of kitty food, kitty treats and a bag of the best catnip in the world (seriously, kitties have been known to rip open mailing packages to get at this nip!) Garfield, who was recently adopted, just received his adoption box. We don't need to ask him if he enjoyed it. The pictures say it all!
Happy
My arm is a necessity for sleeping...
Memphis (formerly Folf)
Our adopted kitty, Memphis, snuggling her beagle.
Monroe
Monroe (or Mo as we have been calling him) is doing great! He's fit in nicely to the house as a big cuddle bug. He has grown a lot too and is going to be a big handsome kitty. His favorite things to do are sitting in his cat tree, becoming flat like a pancake, and playing with puzzle toys.
Actorios (formerly Nugget)
Here’s a picture update! It looks Actorios (formerly Nugget) is settling in great!
Blueberry
So thankful for AniMeals! I adopted my baby, Blueberry, from the Lonely Hearts Club five years ago. She is the best companion animal ever!
Sprout
Dear AniMeals,
Here is Sprout (black & white on the left) today with his big brother Spooky. They are quite the pair! It did take Sprout about five months to come out of his shell but now is very happy and loves his backyard, home and family. He loves exploring the back yard and has gained some weight. He is exactly what his brother Spooky needed. They are best buds and give each other cat baths! Just wanted you to know! Thanks for letting us adopt him.
