Well, isn't that just fucking B R I L L I A N T. So much for that particular hare-brained scheme.
If he's not already dead, Jean is going to kill him.

"Jones. What ill winds brought you here?"

Her face blanched as her mind registered the sight her widened eyes beheld.
How? How could this be?
There before her stood the most infamous sailor of them all. The one whose name could instil fear into even the blackest hearted pirate.
Davy Jones.
"San lanfè," she uttered in a hushed tone.

The remains of the shipwreck floated through the now calm water of the sea. The waves crashed over the sharp rocks nearby where a melody had been sung only hours before. Needless to say the crew members aboard the ship had been hypothesized by the siren's song and the ship was steered into the rocks.
It sunk slowly, the pirates and other members drowning in the cold water.
Now, the siren swam slowly through the wreckage, feeling a tinge of guilt for what he had done. These sailors did not deserve to die, but it had simply been so fun to sing and the instinct to do so had taken over. It was in it's nature to deceive and destroy.
Nix paused, peeking his head above the water, blue eyes watching the pale face of the now dead captain floating on his back. His dull eyes staring up at the darkening sky. Gently Nix reached out to caress the dead man's face, frowning before he caught the glint of gold around his neck and snatched at the chain.
He smiled to himself, blue fins splashing through the water in delight of finding a treasure among the dead. This would settle his guilt, for now.
She would have known exactly who she was dealing with, by sound, by smell, even, no matter how briefly she'd possessed such senses. She could feel her blood go to i c e in her veins, yet an anger accompanied it, a pure, unquenched fury she felt she could hardly contain. Her voice escaped her in a frigid hiss.
❝Was it you?❞

Sacrifice: Davy Jones and Syrena
Syrena pumped her tail, faster and faster, straining to reach Phillip's unconscious form floating in the water. Almost there, almost there, almo- no! A scummy, barnacle-encrusted net dipped into the water, lifting Phillip from its embrace.
Twice as frightened now, Syrena surfaced to see the bow of the Flying Dutchman directly in front of her. The huge ship loomed in front of her, and somewhere in the more rational part of her brain, a cowardly voice was telling her to flee, but Syrena ignored it, catching a dangling rope and pulling her body out of the water. Her long golden tail split into two pale legs as she left the water and pulled herself over the railing.
Her dark eyes searched the deck, Where is he? A flash of white and red, Phillip's shirt, dripping blood. There! Using her arms to pull her useless legs behind her, Syrena crawled across the deck to Phillip's still body, tears welling in her eyes.
Ignoring the stares she was attracting from the disfigured crew, Syrena continued towards Phillip. Hardly daring to breath, she put her head to his chest, listening for a heartbeat. Faint, but there.
The sound of irregular footsteps drawing closer to her caught her ear. Slowly, Syrena's tear-filled eyes looked up from Phillip's body to see Davy Jones, the most feared creature in all the sea, looking down at her.
