Olive Bistro is the perfect place to unwind – sit down, relax, relish your drinks and hearty food – while you enjoy the time. The outdoor seating provides a lovely view of the adjoining corporate hub and the feeling is totally enthralling – the perfect spot to spend an evening in the right weather.
The love of the seasonal produce is in the air and Olive Bistro does its part by introducing Limited Edible Edition – a special menu by the Chef inspired by the seasonal produce.
Start with some refreshingly light salads – the kale and quinoa salad (v) is loaded with organic kale and the super food quinoa, the goodness of greens (broccoli, zucchini) and reds (carrots) and the crunch of pine nuts make it perfect. Charred chicken and bacon salad is a treat for non-vegetarians – the smoked bacon adds a unique texture and taste to the salad, complimenting the charred chicken.

Sizzling Gambas is an appetizer that sea food lovers will love – this one comes sizzling and has tiger prawns with chilli, tomato, herb sauce. OB Mezze 9 is something you shouldn’t miss – homemade breads (khaboose, lavash, bread sticks) – served with 9 home made condiments (yes, that’s why the name), you will be spoilt for choices – my favorite was aromatic and herbed almond picada (look for the green one).

For mains we tried Charmoula Marinated Cottage Cheese, which was on the bland side. The marinade is flavorful, but the cheese cubes are too thick, and there is no flavours once the marinade wears off. The bowl the potato salad, garlic aiolli salad and rice pilaf provide some respite. Chicken Espatada on the other hand is very nice – with the smoked flavor being very prominent – served with fresh greens, tangy potato and bowl of chic pea and rice, this is an full meal.
There is Prawn Ravioli, which is simple yet flavorful, the seafood bisque is delectable and I loved the toasted almond flakes for the crunch they gave.
The dish that stood out was Signature Bacon Wrapped Chicken – one bite and you get 2 textures – the crunchy bacon and the juicy chicken – together create a medley that anyone will love. To top it, the stuffing of wild mushrooms, thyme and garlic, the mash potato and chicken jus just take the dish to another level.

For desserts we had Chef’s special Ice Cream Sundae – banana, marshmallows, berry compote, gems, brownie, oreo cookies, crispy wafers and ice cream – do I need to say anything else? OB Signature Tiramisu is one the best I have ever had – a fellow blogger even praised it more than what she had at a restaurant with an Italian chef :)

They have some special mocktails as part of the menu as well – Milano Smooch is very refreshing; Avalanche is a slushy drink but it too is quite flavorful. Other drinks, part of the menu, which we didn’t taste were Olive Mary, Fruit Punch and Bloody Bistro Mary.
The menu is on till end of October 2016 as a la carte and provides the perfect platform for enjoying the goodness of the seasonal produce combined with the skills of the Chef and a wonderful place to relax.
