Ruby Rose Wukong & Sun Wukong

After the war with Salem has ended, Ruby and Sun go their separate ways with their respective teams to finally protect the world as hunters on a smaller scale.

They all end up hanging out one evening in the kingdom of Mistrel and the pair seemed to hit it off. The majority of the night was spent with them talking and having fun together alongside their friends.

Blake and Yang, having seen this interaction, begin to tease Ruby about her “crush” on Sun, which she completely denies and quickly changes subjects.

Blake confronts Sun about their chemistry. He admits that he enjoyed spending time with Ruby and thought the young SEW was adorable, but there wasn’t exactly time for them to explore anything.

Yang and Blake set them up on a blind date to see if anything sparks.

On the date, Ruby and Sun both went to dinner, walked through a local park, fought off some Grimm, and all around had a nice time. Nice enough of a time for a second date.

As unlikely as it seemed when they were kids, Sun and Ruby begin to pair up with missions as “dates”. It was natural. It was easy. Neither one felt out of place with the other. Quickly their romance snowballed and the pair married while on a mission in northern Vale. Yang was her maid of honor and Neptune his Best man.

After marriage and honeymooning, they “disband” from leading their teams so they could hunt together as a dynamic pair.

Ruby has a hellish pregnancy with her first born, Mars, and constantly endures violent mood swings. Sun is petrified and Qrow does his best to guide the young man through the entire experience.

Mars was born while both were hiding from a horde of Grimm. They took off two weeks to get their boy set up with blankets, clothes, diapers, and other necessities, and off they continued on their missions (though one would have to take the back seat and look after Mars while the other hunted).

For the first 4 years of his life, Mars was on the road with Ruby and Sun. He was a calm, easy baby who gladly behaved as long as Mommy or Daddy were close by. Still, as a baby monkey faunus, he tended to get into curious trouble from time to time much to Ruby’s dismay.

Xing’s birth is what sealed the deal in ending their active hunting career. Ruby and Sun settle down in Vacuo near Sun’s parents. Sun and Ruby both take on teaching roles at the lower combat schools, though Ruby is eventually pushed to be an instructor at Shade Academy. The pay is good and hours allow them both to spend plenty of time with their son and daughter.

The birth of her niece, nephew, and Morgen sends Ruby into a mothering frenzy and turns into a super aunt along with being a super mom. Sun and Ruby keep tabs on the growing family constantly and have even sent off onesies for the new babies.

The two have adopted Jet Black as their “other son” and constantly keep their home open to him and Lapis Sustrai, his younger sister. Ruby understands that the children have a difficult time out in public and she does her best to be a safe haven for them. She has often been rewarded with delicious black food left in their fridge.

The Wukongs have become the focal point for all the kids to hang out and relax, even offering their beach house for week-long getaways for the large group of children. Their home is always filled with children/teenagers/friends/family...and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
