Thursday night, December 4, things are moving right along as we indulge our first Christmas movie of the season.
"Put One Foot In Front Of The Other" is, of course, the classic of this classic. But the real ear worm of our viewing was "No More Toymaker To The King".
Seriously. Couldn't get it outta my head for the next two days.
Which brings us smack into Friday night, December 5, and a bunch of test baking Kimmer undertakes to try out vegan recipes for challah, gingerbread, and pumpkin pie. Ours was basically a test kitchen all night long and we were taste testing all night long. And, in the background, I had my Traditional Christmas Classics Of All Kinds playlist playing on repeat in the background. Talk about holiday spirit!
To be honest, I didn't have to put the playlist on repeat. There are 66 classics on it and we never made it all the way through. But we did enjoy what did get played. :-)
Like I said, it's a massive list. 66 songs. So eclectic, too.
On Saturday, December 6, we've got guests coming over at night plus Kimmer's got doctoral work to do, studying, writing, and a test. In fact, her quote of the day was "After I get through my test I'm gonna start baking cookies!"
I don't know as she ever got around to those cookies, but she did revisit and perfect her vegan gingerbread, vegan Challah, and vegan pumpkin custard. She also made some baked squash and, of course, that twenty pound turkey that was just the moistest meal unto itself ever.
This wasn't all just for us. We were doing a family Thanksgiving Dinner redo since we were out of town on Thanksgiving.
Sunday, December 7, was throttled back a little for all the studying and writing needing to be done. Me, there was a bunch of laundry needing to be done and, since our washer 'n dryer are busted... I spent the late afternoon camped out at the local laundromat, going over this year's Christmas letter in google docs, making whatever last changes were needing to be made, including those for the dutch version that my second cousin's helping me with. :-)
Monday, December 8, I swing by the FedEx office at the top of Roy on Capital Hill after my chiropractor appointment to print up the English version of the Christmas letter. Unfortunately, the printer they use for labels is busted so I'll swing by the FedEx office in Lynnwood and have them printed up for me there.

I also did a 'lil Christmas shopping. Shhhhhhh!
Across the last few days, I also listened to an Advent podcast about The Three Wise Men, a sermon from Bridge Church about our experience of Advent, and I read through the first four days of extended Advent Calendar readings.
Should be caught up in a coupla days. :-)
