Happy Inktober!

Day 1 of inktober and my prompt list Adventober. 

Let me introduce you to my character Isla. She is the protagonist to the story I’ve been planning for a long time. I can’t wait to explore her story and the strange world that she finds herself in. 

Little bit of backstory:

One day Isla was wondering through the woods and came across a large tree with an opening that she could step through. Once she stepped in she found herself in the "otherworld". My story is inspired by British folktales and celtic mythology.

Adventober Day 5, A Fork in the Road. Which way should they go? Dorran has no idea, and they both miss the scary-looking tree. Hope that doesn’t mean trouble is ahead!

Day 3 of Adventober, Isla and Dorran meet a travelling merchant on their path. He becomes extremely interested in the watch that Isla is wearing, and she trades that for some coin, that should come in handy.

Day 29 of Adventober, epic duel!

The battle lasted hours, no one could get close enough to him to defeat him. No inkling of power entered Isla, what could she do? She couldn’t defeat a wizard. Dorran suddenly hurtled towards the man, with his acorn above his head ready to swing, but as soon as he got close he was thrown backwards, and he did not get back up. Rage flowed through Isla, she clutched her lodestone in her pocket, when light burst from the end of the staff. Without knowing what she was doing, she shot a powerful beam at the wizard, knocking him back. He turned towards her, surprised that someone could hit him when her feet lifted from the ground, her amulet lit up and a light shone all around her. Such energy hit the wizard that he didn’t see it coming. No one saw what happened to him after...
