Not captured is the 2 minutes of convincing an 8 year old had to do to get me to go. 🤣 Me: What’s the worst that could happen? Anxiety: the zip line breaks, I fall, I break my hip, I won’t be able to walk, and I’ll need surgery again. Voice of reason: you got your hip replaced so that you could learn to truly live again. In all reality, the zip line won’t break. Lesson of the day: don’t let fear, the uncertainty, or the anxiety, stop you from living in the moment. Secret is out! My life constantly is changing and keeping me on my toes... I have accepted a CNA position back up North in Redmond, where I’ll be able to develop my skills and continue to pursue a career in nursing. I couldn’t be more excited about the offer, though, I am very sad to leave Vancouver as my last day here is this Sunday. The past six months have been eye opening. I took the time to focus on my mental health and figure out what God has for me. I dove into my faith and learned to trust Him in ALL that I do. He had called me out time and time again... and each time I listen, I find a richer meaning. I never thought in a million year, I’d be going into nursing. Hello, I spent 9 years of my life in and out of hospitals... I wanted to stay out of the medical field. He had a different plan for me. Being able to meet others in their darkness and vulnerable state, is what I feel called to do. I could’ve let my accident tear me apart, but God has taken it and turned it into beauty! Life with my prosthetic hip is truly one of a kind. Vancouver will always be home and holds a piece of my heart. Thank God, he never let’s me settle!
