2016 Goal: Make Music
Music has never been my forte. I don't sing, rap, or play an instrument. I dislike writing, but I can write a bomb paper on the spot & wrote on my school newspaper for 2 years. So, I decided to try writing song lyrics. I've compiled about 6 songs thus far, some of which I am proud of & others which I dislike. Maybe next I'll try picking up the guitar at some point, & see where it goes? I WANNA MAKE MUSIC DAMNIT.
“If you’re going through hell, keep going"
Verse 1 When you feel your blood turn to ice let me be your escape, just smile, cause to me your life has no price. I’ll always go the extra mile so you know someone shares your pain. I am just a phone call away, although I’m far, I’ll be right there. When you hate everything, please stay. Life’s a game, it’s rules are unfair, but let’s watch how this all plays out.
Chorus I know it all seems so fucked up, but look how far you’ve come & grown. Don’t sit there crying by yourself love, you don’t have to be alone. Even if you don’t want advice, I’ll be right here to understand. Things never go as planned, but if you’re going through hell, keep going.
Verse 2 Growing up means we’re apart more but our friendship always remains. I’ll lift you up off the floor, on my shoulders time and time again. Let’s gain some sense of belonging from singing and dancing tonight. Just as often, let’s do nothing. Movies, drive throughs, running stoplights in our cars with music bumping. These are the nights I’ll remember.
Bridge I know sometimes it’s hard. It’s worth it in the end. Don’t be sad, I love you. I will not let you down.
Verse 3 When you don’t know where you’re going, just remember what you taught me by the ocean, bracelets glowing. Things work out if they’re meant to be and wherever you go, there you are. Forget the rest, meet at our tree. In three months it’ll be okay, in six months it’ll be funny. We always say have a good day, cause together, ours is better.
Revised chorus I know it all seems so fucked up, but we have conquered everything together, that was thrown our way. Breakups, fighting, and car-jackings. I can’t imagine life without my crazy friends, it’d be too bland. Things never go as planned, but if if you’re going through hell, keep going. Things never go as planned, but if you’re going through hell, keep going.
My entire life is about to change
I’m scared to start this new job. I’m scared to stay in SC full time again for the sake of my sanity. I don’t want to leave my coworkers & meet new ones.
But what’s even more terrifying is this middle stage where I have no idea what the future holds.
I’m terrified to find out I’m not all that I thought I was as a worker. I’m terrified about my love & attachment to my current job, I’ve grown too fond. I’m terrified about the possibility of financially not being able to remain in SC.
I’m just not ready to make this huge change in my life. I don’t like change.
Be smooth, don't throw off the groove
My coworker Vicc & I
I ate shit on my skateboard, got cut and bruised and fucked up all over, & shattered the shit out of my phone screen.
Merry Fucking Christmas
