A Beautiful Locket

Tonight on the train a woman allowed me to sit next to her on a train. At first I thought she was a really pretty but when she started talking to me I realized she wasn't female to begin with and that made her more beautiful. I admired her black shoes that she admitted were worn out from all the walking she does.She introduced herself as Jenice or possibly Denise, she talked in very quiet voice so it was hard to hear. And she asked me what I was majoring in at college. She told me to believe in myself and try my hardest to achieve my dream. She took off her necklace and she said that I should keep it. I told her that was a gift for her and that she should keep it. I stopped arguing when she insisted and handed it to me excitedly. I admired it and she told me that she wanted me to believe in myself and live for myself and not for anyone else. She even told me I had a very strong will and that she wanted me to go far in life. I thanked her so much for telling me her story. When she got off the train I put the locket around my neck. Every time I see that locket I will remember her and her advice.
