After a long day of classes i returned to my dorm to be greeted by my roomate who seemed to be busy with something.
"hey y/n" Ashley said organizing the magazines on the coffee table .
"Hey Ash.. umm why are frantically cleaning?" I say kicking my shoes off.
She jokingly shook her head.
"Girl i been telling you about this since the beginning of the month"
Still in confusion i grab an apple and sit on a stool that is five feet away from here . "Telling me about what?"
"Girl this party we're having tonight"
I froze. I completely forgot about this party. Ashely's known me since Junior high and knows I'm not good with social interactions.
"Ohh.. right" i clear my throat.
"And don't think your talking your way out of it this time" Ashley laughs remembering all the times i convinced her to go to a gathering without me.
I just never been the confident , nor social type.
she and i both knew this party , and ones like it , was the only way i could break out of my reserved shell. Little did i know , that night would be one to remember
