Star Wars: The Old Republic “Main Canon/Atropa Legacy”
Solkaras (Karas) | Yniuria Yracundia (Yra) | Saraklos (Sara) Andswaru | Aefre Zephyrine | Un’Yunith (Yunith)
I’ve been thinking about the interpersonal relationships of my Main Canon.
Most of the “canons” I created after the Main and Secondary Canons were actually at least somewhat made with interpersonal relationships in mind for some of the toons at the vary least, but the Main and Secondary canons literally existed so that I could run each class with either pure light or pure dark (and the other advanced class). How the toons related to one another didn’t really matter, aside from the fact Karas (Agent) and Sara (Consular) were twins, as well as Yn (Knight) and Yra (Inquisitor) being twins (I love me some twins, I guess).
Whenever I write about my Main Canon (I rarely touch on my Secondary Canon) there’s generally a conspicuous absence of interpersonal relationships of the classes, with only Yra/Yn getting anything in depth because Yra is my absolute favouritest toon and Yn is her sister. And sitting down and actually thinking about it... I feel like on the Empire side none of them would really be friends. Republic side, Yn, Sara, and Un’Yunith (Trooper) would all be friends, or at least closer than just “colleague” or “aquintance”. And then there’s Aefre (Smuggler) who’s “that one really nasty bitch who we keep having to work with” (seeing as how she’s the Token Dark Side toon).
Back to the Empire, the “glue” that would keep the group together would be Karas (who’s also the Token Light Side toon lmao). Andswaru (Bounty Hunter) has only the flimsiest justification of being involved with any of this nonsense (the same goes for Aefre, and it’s kind of a problem with those two classes in general, and one of the reasons they’re my least favourite classes) and I think the only reason she’s around is because Karas gets a lot of use out of Andswaru being the antithesis to what she does (Karas being a squishy sniper and Andswaru being a tanky dispenser of flame and pain). Zepheryne (Warrior) is a bit too self-important to really get involved with the others. She’d be most likely to get along with Yra, if it weren’t for quite a number of factors. Namely, Yra’s origins as a slave (Zeph is absolutely an elitist) and them butting heads over which of them has the most power- a member of the Dark Council, or the Emperor’s Wrath. Karas has had to interpose between the two more than a few times (and probably gets Andswaru to help).
The only two I’d actually consider to be something approximating friends are Karas and Yra, and I’m not actually entirely sure why, they just click together in my mind. As former Imperial Intelligence, Karas has the mind for the sort of political intrigue that Yra is likely involved in, and their respective “low born” statuses (alien and slave) could give them common ground. I don’t see them as particularly close, however, which would largely be Yra’s fault. She’s not great at making friends. Later in life, before she gets over a bunch of her issues, she finds herself quite isolated, with only the ever faithful Talos as her company (they do nerdy nerd things of nerdiness together).
The TL;DR here being that the Republic Classes are largely nice people so they get along (sans Aefre, who is awful) and the Empire Classes are a bunch of assholes who don’t get along with anybody (sans Karas, who’s delightful).
I can’t tell if that’s supposed to be her tip-toeing away or doing the really silly run that SWTOR does in cutscenes.
Either way it’s hilarious.
“Maybe if I’m quiet and slow it won’t notice” or “RUN AWAAAAY!!!”
Hydrospanner
The sound of cursing from within the confines of the freighter echoed across the loading dock, drawing Corso’s attention from the shipping manifest he was going over. As he neared, the cursing grew louder, more eloquent, and strung together into creative descriptors that, while impossible, were nevertheless impressive.
He peered into one of the maintenance tunnels, and the cursing crescendoed into one particularly emphatic “FUCK!”, and a hydrospanner went flying past his head and bouncing off the floor.
“Is everything alright in there captain?” He drawled, looking to see where the hydrospanner had gone.
“Of course it fucking isn’t!” Aefre seethed, sticking her head out with a scowl.
“A lady shouldn’t use such language,” he chastised. She responded by giving him a stiff middle finger. “Now that’s just plain mean.”
“I can’t figure out what’s the matter with this stupid ship,” the Mirialan scowled, dropping out of the shaft. “Nothing wants to work!”
“Maybe a break is in order. Recharge your batteries,” he suggested.
“Hmph. Nothin’ worth doing on this moon.”
“I could think of a few things,” he grinned. She looked at him, eyebrow raised in question, and he wiggled his own suggestively.
“You really want sex when I’m all sweaty and covered in grease?”
“Captain, I’d want you no matter what state yer in. That is love.” He paused. “Plus, the shower still works.”
Aefre gave a bark of laughter. “That it does!” She grabbed his arm and hauled him off, surprisingly strong for such a tiny thing. “Let’s go, Corso, then maybe we can have some dinner after.”
“Aye, aye captain!”
Aefre, sweetie, I really don’t think a pistol is the right weapon for this...
Folkestone Museum: Tiny Charm
#Folkestone #Museum: Tiny Charm - Seen the #news about #Dinosaur #Footprints in Folkestone recently? Well I went to the museum to check it out and found a small #gem. #History #Roman #AngloSaxon #EarlyEnglish #NaturalHistory #Fossils #Kent #WWI #WWII
Seen here mid-refurbishment, the museum was moved to the site of the old Town Hall an opened there in 2017. on Guildhall Street at the bottom of the town centre’s main shopping area of Sandgate Road, I think it is an excellent spot to ensure people don’t miss it. There is also the small, and charming, Silver Screen Cinema in the same building. (Credit: Chris Allen CC-BY-SA 2.0) I will open by…

You know what happened to the last guy who stole my ship? I kicked him into a black hole. True story.
Aefre, getting her ship stolen, again
