ღ casual kiss... for aelia & shaw mayb... listen aelia is a kiss monster she wants All kisses
@taempestas | k is s mo nster
Shaw was different in Denerim.
As soon as they entered the city walls, it was like the Blight had stopped for a moment for him. He stopped scowling (almost) and a smile peaked out every now and then. He spoke more, and not just to discuss tactics or logistics. Short stories of his youth, half impossible if only for who was telling the story, half impossible for the content. ( Shaw was too simple to lie, never had before, why would he start now? )
Most nights in the city ended at The Gnawed Noble. Edwina, surly and crass, would pull Shaw by his ear and scold him for giving her such a scare with Ostagar, and Shaw- a foot taller than her and bloody and bruised and one of the last hopes for Ferelden, if not the whole world- cowed and laughed and apologized.
They were walking back to the more discreet set of rooms they were staying in- as much as Shaw trusted Edwina, it still wouldn’t do to stay in one place for too long- through the market. It was just Shaw and Aelia, the others retiring earlier. They bumped together while rounding a corner and he slung him arm over his shoulder, still chatting merrily.
She said something charming and he laughed, pulling her closer. He leaned down and caught her lips, laughing still, and then continued steering her towards their quarters. “We’re going to be fine, little flower. I promise.” The first time he’d called anything but Lady Cousland, to say nothing of the kiss.
back rubs for shaw from... aelia. if she can reach. she's trying.
@taempestas | aelia is tryin’ to help and shaw cannot understand.
So soon after Ostagar- his sword missing and the road so rough. They supplied as best they could, but all they had to replace Shaw’s arms were a longsword and a heavy shield. Shaw felt the difference in weight, the combination of rough road and unfamiliar use of muscles causing even the strong Warden to feel sore. Seated before the fire, he set to working out some of the pain. Maker’s balls, we need to find a proper greatsword soon. Engrossed in his own pain, he didn’t hear the small noble come up behind him. He felt her place her hands on his shoulders and he froze. Being touched unexpectedly set his teeth on edge, but he held still, knowing she most likely wasn’t trying to kill him, at least not with everyone else so nearby. He expected it from the Antivan- a knife to his throat. Not her. Call it his own idiocy. Nobles were all snakes- - oh.
“That is unnecessary, Lady Cousland.” He twisted to look up to her, finding it strange to look up to see her. His brow furrowed, but confusion overtook his normal scowl.
