You get weaker everyday.
But y'know...
I'm getting weaker too.
My stomach hurt.
I'm sorry i failed you...

Some notes.

I made it.
I see a lot of finger pointing about how the Corona Virus is being handled. I see people criticizing how many people have contracted the virus and died but not much about how people are packing out Mud Island and walking around downtown with their kids having pic nics , people in NOLA for Madi Gras, people flocking to FL for spring break, etc like we don't have a crisis on our hands. I see people criticizing about how our hospitals and ems works don't have supplies, mask, and things we need for treatment but no one criticizing the people who cleared the shelves of every m95, and every other mask, going online and buying all the medical grade gloves, sani clothes, etc they could get their hands on. Wiping the shelves of lysol, sanitizer and cleaning supplies, leaving us all unequipped when for months ems, the president, cdc, and every news station BEGGED you not to. Since the EMS, first responders, law enforcement, etc do not have our ppe it is a matter of time ber for the virus starts to get us. Then what will we do. Most of you need to turn that finger right at yourself. You have actively contributed to the corona virus getting to where it is. Steps complimented initially would have worked quite well if the populous followed the instructions they were given. A lot of ypu have blood on your hands. NOLA is not far from and memphis is not far from NOLA. In Memphis the 60 and ups aren't the people getting the virus most and it isn't people with autoimmune issues either. It's healthy 20's-30's year olds. And it's because you all want to do what you want to do. There are areas of the city that are hot zones because of what YOU are doing. You want to criticize, the health care workers, law enforcement, the city, and the president but we all told told you repeatedly what we need you to do, to handle this. You all chose to do other wise. I really hope you guys wake up. Because I'm out hear with these patients and I am seeing in person what you guys are ignoring. If this does not apply to you then do not apply my words to yourself.
My first patent normal saline IV! George Armstrong III (I named my practice arm) was a great patient. I got my start years ago in phlebotomy, so I’ve got some little habits from that I need to unlearn for IV stuff.
I also started IVs successfully on two classmates and one of my instructors. Woot!
I also got stuck twice, because it’s only fair to let the person you practiced on practice on you. After lab, I came home and did homework all afternoon. Gotta work on my drugcards more, but I can relax this weekend^.^
ALS where you at?
Alrighty guys, I haven't done this in awhile, but let's have discussion time. All my EMS, LEO, and firefighters, let's talk about ways we combat burn out. I'm not just talking about taking time off. Sometimes there's times we can't do that due to weather, shortages, mandatory tours. So how do all of you combat burnout and fatigue and keep your minds straight when holidays aren't always an option?
