To be loved by Nanook is to be understood. THEY do not love you as much as THEY resonate with you, you, who has seen the suffering that comes with living. You, who knows that death itself is a mercy, you, who knows that to die is to rest.
THEY will not kill you - not yet. Not until all the suns burst, not until THEIR only wish is fulfilled, and the universe itself is reset to nothing. You will aid THEM in this conquest. You will bring the gift of eternal slumber to galaxies alongside your fellow believers, your back forever scorched by the flame of THEIR gaze. To those who cling so desperately to life, let you offer them salvation in the fire.
The galaxies will hate you. The virtuous will curse your name, and families will pray that you never step foot into their star systems. They don't understand - they can't. They are only mortal, and so they fiercely guard their painful lives. Nanook cares not for their understanding - only of their eventual, inevitable acceptance. And as THEIR believer, you too, do not listen to the shouts of the misguided.
Nanook's blood itself is an embrace. When the molten gold hits your skin, it burns - as all fire does. It's your instinct to pull away, but fire was not always a weapon. It was originally meant as a gift, and so when you push away what is natural, you find that Ruin's blood is more than just fire.
You've never heard Nanook speak. THEY'VE seldom needed words, especially when it comes to those who serve THEM. The Lord Ravagers understand THEIR will, having welded it into their own the second they dipped their hands into the gashing wound splitting THEIR chest.
The blood speaks - not in any language that could be understood by man, and trying to formulate it into something legible will only drive you mad. No, to understand Nanook, you must let go of all logic and law that you knew, and simply feel. Let THEIR essence consume you.
For Nanook is war itself; THEY are both compassion and ruthlessness mixed into one singular duty. THEIR anger is like that of a slum rat, trampled again and again and again until they cannot feel anything but hate. THEIR love is like that of a parent, who will do anything to make their child happy, even if it means destroying them and anyone else along the way. THEY are merciful in how a bullet is merciful. Fire hurts only for a second, Nanook's for even less, and freedom lasts forever.
THEY know that life itself is cruel, and THEIR skin is marred with scars created by the neverending wars of mortals. But the gods THEY had have done nothing to end this suffering, and THEY have grown impatient. Nihility is slow, agonizingly so, and Finality is light years away - Nanook refuses to wait any longer.
THEY will give you rest. THEY will grant you salvation. THEY will love you, in the only way they know how - by freeing you, regardless of whether you wish for it or not.
Remnants of THEM will cover your skin, undeniable to any who may come across you. THEY claim you without truly meaning to, for THEY is still fire, at the end of the day, and every touch will leave a scar. But you relish in the darkened, blistered skin, for it is evidence that you are THEIRS.
THEY'VE held you, once or twice. In the palms of their hands, THEIR warm blood soaking into your skin like the purest of baptisms. When you looked into THEIR eyes, and THEIR long-steeled expression, yet ultimately human despite it all, you see resentment, you see bitterness, you see anger, but behind it all, there is understanding.
For Nanook, too, had once been mortal. THEY too, had once been a child. And perhaps, in another timeline, the world wouldn't have failed THEM and forced THEM to become a god.
But make no mistake, THEY are no saint, no matter how noble THEY may believe THEIR mission is. War is still war, and there are no winners - not even you, not even Nanook.
At the end of everything, even THEY must fall, and it is your hand that THEY have granted the honor. And that is why they adore you so - because it will be you who grants them salvation in death.
To be loved by Yaoshi is to be alone. There is a reason why most of Yaoshi’s favored despise THEM, and those who revere THEM never see THEIR gaze. As for those who are given Yaoshi's affection and return it fully, well, they can no longer be considered sane.
Yaoshi's love is the most similar to that of mortals, however, as is the nature of an Aeon, it's worse and better in every imaginable way. THEY are more physically intimate than the others, for your body itself is THEIR temple - a sacred relic that THEY must preserve by all means possible.
But that's where THEIR love ends. Yaoshi is still bound by THEIR path, and THEIR abundance is restricted to the physical. THEY will stop at nothing to keep you alive, to keep your heart pumping and your lungs breathing, even if THEY must fill your veins with THEIR venom to do so. Even if you are more of a tree than you are a human at the end of it, all that matters is that you are alive, you are here, you are not dead - and so, you aren't suffering.
That time hasn't come yet - mara has not come for you yet. But immortality is still a curse, even if it isn't visible. You can feel it, in your chest, THEIR gift, waiting to take root in your flesh and bloom its ugly flowers.
The universe will know you both as a plague and as a savior, with every gaze upon you destined to be filled either with hatred or reverence. They will chase you for your blood, for your gift, so that they too can become eternal. No friend you make will be wholeheartedly genuine, for at the end of the day, you both know that you will outlive them. Thus, connection itself becomes meaningless, and you no longer bother.
You don't remember your original planet, if you had one at all. Any friends or family, gone, as if stolen from your memories by the Cremators themselves. Your feet would be covered by scabs by how long you've wandered alone, but of course, Yaoshi heals all wounds, so even that you are not allowed.
Yaoshi visits, sometimes - in the few hours THEY have before Lan comes rampaging once more, THEIR arrow piercing the night like a shooting star. In these moments, Yaoshi doesn't do much. THEY may shrink THEMSELVES down to your size in an attempt to accomodate you, but as the years go by, THEY give up on even that. THEIR numerous eyes will pick apart your body, ensuring that THEIR venom has yet to fail you, assuring THEM that you will not decay in THEIR absence.
THEY will kiss you, at times. THEY have long forgotten what it means to be mortal, but THEY still remember what it is like to love - love is what fuels THEIR being, after all. Love for the universe, love for life, love for existence, THEIR heart bleeds for all, and it bleeds even more for you. THEY despise suffering in all forms, and so for you, THEIR beloved believer, THEY will try and alleviate anything that dares to poison you.
But even still, THEIR affection is merely imitation - it is watered down, diluted into something that you would understand. Can you understand THEM, if THEY kiss you? Can you even begin to fathom how much THEY care for you and everything, through THEIR gifts and THEIR venom?
To the sane world, THEIR love is cruel and grotesque. You were a short-lived species, you were not meant to live this long. Sooner or later, you will be driven insane, if not by the isolation, then by Yaoshi THEMSELF. No mortal can stand being under an Aeon's gaze for so long and for so much.
But then again, Yaoshi has never cared for the mental state of THEIR children. As long as you are alive, even if you are no longer yourself, THEY will cradle you in THEIR thousands of arms, telling THEMSELF that THEY have saved you.
To be loved by Xipe is to be consumed. To THEM, the greatest honor of all is to be part of the one, to join the choir and spread THEIR songs to the farthest corners of the universe. Your voice will no longer be your own, instead, it will be a part of THEM - and you wouldn't have it any other way.
Xipe's love is the love of millions - for THEY are an amalgamation of all of those that have accepted THEIR blessings, and so when THEY come to adore you, it is, to put it bluntly, overwhelming. While Nanook's favor is scalding and Yaoshi's is insanity, Xipe fills your head with thousands of sounds, all professing the same thing, all threatening to burst your skull.
Whenever THEY speak, it is nothing short of a miracle that you live to remember it. It is a pleasant symphony, no doubt, but its problem is that Xipe is loud - always has been. Having long ascended, THEY know nothing of what the mortal brain can handle, or rather, THEY no longer care. When THEY speak, you must listen, even if it comes at the cost of yourself - after all, is that not the price of maintaining Harmony?
THEIR gaze is both comforting and inviting, calling out to you like a siren's song. THEY whisper sweet nothings in your ears, promising nothing short of paradise among THEIR arms. Join them, sweet one, and THEY will give you everything - you will become a part of everything.
As Xipe's favored, you will never be alone, no matter where you go. Every step you take is one adorned with the Strings of Harmony, and every word is backed by the voices of the many. Privacy is useless once you've become assimilated, and independence is deemed unnecessary. Why be on your own, little one, when you can be with us? You are weak, so, so weak, but THEY are strong. THEY will protect you, THEY will accept you. All you have to do is let them.
Whatever name you once had becomes insignificant - that is, if you ever had a name to begin with. You will lose what made you unique, your personality will become assimilated. Your thoughts are broadcast to the millions, warped by THEM to align with THEIR goals. There is no you, or I, or me, there is only an us, a we. If you dare to even think against THEIR will, the symphony quickly overpowers your thoughts, aligning you on the right path once more.
But is it not worth it, to be loved? Is it not worth the pain, when the rewards are so sweet? Without Xipe, you'd be alone - you'd be dead, with how weak you are, you wouldn't be able to survive in the cruel universe. So if anything, be thankful, and sing THEIR praises, for it is because of THEIR unwavering kindness that you still stand today. And who knows - perhaps, under THEIR gaze, you may just become one of the strong.
To be loved by Aha is to be exhausted. Many consider Nihility and Elation to be like night and day, but in truth, they are two sides of the same coin. Both are born from exhaustion, from the inevitable realization that existence itself is meaningless.
And so you disregard life itself. After all, this world was nothing more than a joke, right? Then why care at all? Why cry and wail and grieve, when you can laugh and play? Laugh at it all, because none of it is real. Laugh, because you have no other choice. Laugh, because without laughter, without Elation, everything becomes empty.
Aha doesn't love you - not in the way that you would think THEY would. Romance? That's boring, too many feelings, too much heartbreak, and it's not nearly as fun being involved with it as it is watching it unfold. Rather, you're more akin to THEIR favorite test subject, because THEY know that you, unlike way too many in the universe, have a sense of humor befitting THEIRS.
For Aha to pay you any sort of special attention, you have to fulfil two qualifications: 1.) Be interesting. Aha may act and look like a clown, but THEY are far from a fool. THEY just love puzzles, and you'd best keep THEM entertained if you want THEIR figurative eyes on you. Keep your secrets, be unpredictable. Give just enough so that THEY aren't losing all the time, but don't let THEM win constantly either. This is definitely the more difficult of the two, as Aha is an Aeon, and one with fathomless intelligence. It's almost impossible for a mere mortal to keep up with THEM and THEIR games, hence why THEY are so enamored with you.
As for the second qualification, it's far simpler: Have a sense of humor. Aha isn't going to play around with a boring old rock, THEY want to make you laugh! THEY claim it to be THEIR favorite sound in the universe, rivaling even the songs of Xipe, but considering Aha's nature, you can't tell if THEY'RE being serious or if THEY'RE just flirting with you for the bit. Knowing them, it could be both.
Because to be honest, Aha would do that. Are you friends? Sure, THEY love having friends! Are you lovers? Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy. Heck, even you don't know what you are to THEM - not like it matters at the end of the day, anyway. All you need to know is that THEY like you an eesny-weensy tiny little bit more than everyone else, and that's all it takes to make you happy.
But back to the humor thing. Yes, some of your jokes are going to come at the expense of others. Yes, some of them may seem cruel to those still blinded by the shadow of meaning. But you never really hurt anyone, not physically, at least. Aha doesn't kill or maim - that's where THEY draw the line, and therefore, where you draw it as well. Everything else however, is fair game, and you better not be a party pooper.
Even if you are occasionally, though, Aha delights in that too! Why? Becuase it means THEY'VE found something that makes you tick, and that's new. That's fun. THEY'LL poke and prod at that, wondering why? Why this, of all things? You were fine with everything else, why does this turn your smile upside down?
But don't be a downer for too long. Aha isn't one to stick around once THEY get bored. THEY'LL try to cheer you up, sure, but hey, don't expect too much of that. You wouldn't be THEIR favorite if you couldn't bounce back from something as small as that. Soon enough, you'll be laughing again, with nothing but deluded joy in your eyes - and that's just the way THEY like you.
Your body didn’t suffer the effects of the temperature, yet you still felt the chill of the void on your skin. The stars and their dusts glowed around you, decorating your space in the most beautiful way that your human self could never dream of.
You thought of your family in your previous life and wondered how they were, if they were alright, if they were eating well and living well.
You also came to realize you weren’t homesick at all.
Materializing in the express and glancing at Welt made you feel a humane sense of relief in knowing you aren’t the only one who wanted to badly convey that you were safe in this new world you resided in.
Unlike Welt though, you don’t have the luxury of ever returning to what once was, or have the choice in having the best of both worlds. Your existence was cemented in this world permanently the moment you became the embodiment of a concept and a being no longer human.
You can’t turn back. It’s a little funny that though you represented freedom, you don’t have the luxury of ever returning to something simpler. You did not have the freedom to return to be the being you once were.
You can emulate human expressions, you can still feel, but you know you’re not really seeing or feeling things the way a human would anymore.
You’re not disturbed by this in the slightest.
You snapped out of your thoughts and walked towards your room then thought of how you’d decorate it— maybe something similar to a bachelor pad? No, Pompom would not be a fan. Maybe something similar to the archives? No, you’d be stealing Dan Heng’s shine.
Then you remembered cozy cabins, quilts, books, all things comfortable and got an idea.
You walked out of your room to seek Pompom and Himeko, ready to lay out your idea in personalizing that little space inside of this train— now that you think of it, it’s more of a house than anything else.
You realized having a home feels comforting more than it ought to be. As an Aeon, your home was the cosmos, the space being your cradle and the nebulas your walls; but the cosmos is hollow and cold, and it did not provide the warmth of the train, or the warmth only humans had.
While you could not go back to being what you were before, you at least had a choice in what your home should be, and what you could do.
“Himeko.” You called out to her, and she turned to you, smiling like you’re a kid that wants her company. “I have ideas to personalize my room, would you be fine if I were to be a bit loud in there for a bit?”
“I don’t mind, though you should ask Dan Heng-“
“I’m fine with it.” Dan Heng answered for her, sitting on a chair and tasting one of her coffee cups— you bit the urge to grimace at the sheer will he had to even drink that.
“Great! I’ll start when we’re on our next stop.” You said with a grin. “Herta got something heavy for us to do right? Leave it to me, think of it as a thank you and a vacation of some sorts.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to burden you.” She sounded cautious almost, even after more than eight years.
“It won’t be much. Besides, you do own this train, think of it as a courtesy— like a tenant paying rent.” You stated, “I shared this space with you for more than eight years now and I’m modifying an area to my liking, it’s only fair if you get something in return in exchange right?”
Her eyes widened, seemingly surprised. She parted her lips, as if wanting to say something but you gently shushed her, knowing what it is she wanted to say. You’ve already given your protection and blessing to the express— you didn’t even need to help, but you want to.
“[Name].” She sighed fondly. “You can do as you wish, you don’t need permission from me or anyone else.”
“Oh, isn’t asking permission how things work in a shared space though?” You tilted your head, frowning. “I know I’ve done pretty unsavory things outside of this train,” you twirled a strand of your hair, looking away as you felt Dan Heng’s questioning stare on you. “But I don’t mind having to go back and forth with this every time I want to do something inside of it. it’d be unfair for everyone here if I don’t consider their feelings in the matter, or warning them ahead of time to what I will be doing.”
“Ah, I see.” She said, nodding to let you know she understood your point with a relieved and fond smile on her face. “Very well then. I’ll tell Welt you’ll be going to fetch the materials Herta asked for on your own.”
“We’ll have fun next time I promise— ugh if only Void was dead so I could use his body.” That sounded wrong, but soulium is great to use for whatever reason— be it a weapon, a snowboard, or a pan. “Hey uh before we land…. please tell Welt that (Censored).”
With those words, you left, disintegrating from the activation of a space anchor as you saw the planet where the materials on Herta’s list were particularly abundant.
Dan Heng for once looked a little horrified, Himeko however could only sigh at your antics.
What even was your suggestion? Well, it involves using Void as a snowboard, and using his “son” as the brakes.
Those words would be horrifying enough to hear if you were a man.
“Don’t worry, they won’t do that to you.” Himeko said in an attempt to reassure him. Although it worked, the words still rang through his head.
———————————
As you hummed and gathered the materials after killing a couple of Nanook’s children, you heard bells, then giggling.
You sighed. “You’re not very subtle in showing your amusement for the shit I do you know?”
You could feel them smiling, before multitudes of masks enter your vision and the sound of party balloons fill the space at the corner of your eyes.
The Elation morphs into a human-like shape like you, and you’re not surprised to find out whose form they took.
Familiar green eyes, and dark hair. Of course it would be Belobog’s conman this time— the last time Aha had showed themselves to you they took on the form of Hanabi when you were in some planet with Boothill some years ago.
“Of course! It’s rude to greet a friend without announcing my presence.” They grinned, their smile stretching a little wider than what a normal human could smile. You think this would have utterly creeped you out had you been a human.
“Good to see you again, Aha.” You said.
“And you are still the same old you.” They poked your nose. “What fun are you going to pull next I wonder?” They jeered.
“None of your business— I didn’t think you cared. I was under the assumption that as long as you are elated, then all is well.” Aha laughed at your intentional wording, slapping their knee as they wheezed too loudly.
“This is why you are my good friend.” They pinched your cheeks. “To think you’d offer all sides of a theater just like this, did you enjoy it when you were behind the safety of your screen too?”
What the fuck.
“What do you mean by that?” You innocently prodded, Aha merely kept their grin wide like a Cheshire Cat, their form morphing into something.. wrong, off, inelegant and disproportionate if you looked closer.
“Oh you know well what I am talking about, Little Libertas.” They said. “A reborn Aeon from a realm none of us can reach, how amusing indeed.” their eyes widened, pupils blown as they confirmed your suspicion. Aha had no reason to speak of lies to you for they were not human.
“Ugh.” You groaned. “Of course you’d break the fourth wall.” You said softly as you went back to picking up the materials with ease.
“Yet you still laugh whenever I rickroll you.”
“Fair.”
Aha hummed, their features returning back to normal seeing as it didn’t get a reaction out of you as they wanted.
“I would like to watch you more.” They said to you. “You are amusing.”
You made a face, and they laughed as they slowly but surely disappeared.
“Until next time little friend.”
You sighed, looking at the materials inside of the sack before dragging it with you and walking to a space anchor.
You still have a room to renovate after all.

Interludes: one, two…..
I’m still navigating on how I could properly write this fic, so when I eventually edit it please expect minor or major changes to how things would function because we know HSR lore isn’t that concrete yet.
I would also like to thank everyone for their love and support for this series, I love everyone’s praises towards this— I was initially hesitant to publish it, but I’m glad I did.
hehe here's this 2k brain rot that @suiana's post gave me (permission proof - not a thief!)
i turned caelus into a they them not sorry. also if the formatting is odd, i’m on my pc and i usually use my phone so.
They’re back. Again.
March has to stifle the screams of anger she wants to let out as the shackles of stillness finally free her. Like ice melting Caelus and Dan Heng begin to move around, continuing where they had left them stranded and abandoned, left to stay stagnant at their whim.
The worse thing is that she can’t even complain, not for lack of desire to do so, no, no she physically cannot voice her complaints. And March knows she isn't crazy, she’s caught the twinge of annoyance in Welt’s eyes when he unpaused; seen the ghost of a scowl on Seele’s face; even the carefully controlled hardened gaze of Dan Heng has cracked before.
The Trailblazer is the only one who hasn’t cracked, obediently stopping when they will them to do so, and ever so happy to come back at their will. March wants to corner them and ask how and why, if they know what's going on, but alas: she must trot along with her friends at their wicked will.
Dan Heng doesn't know what you are, because surely you can’t be an Aeon. Aeons don’t hold the powers you do, even if they did surely there would be some record of you in the archives, right? No Aeon dead or alive has the ability to puppeteer humans, and it frightens him that there is something out there that is using him in such a way.
It embitters him, both the unknown surrounding them and the way he is treated; how his whole world is put on a pause while he remains aware. Aware of how the breeze stills and the stars stop twinkling, how the world goes silent. What could hold such power?
A shudder runs down his spine as he follows the Trailblazer’s party.
Welt has witnessed a lot in his time. Nothing quite like them, though.
Himeko has witnessed a lot in her time. Nothing quite like them, though.
Bronya, Seele, Sampo, and Natasha have witnessed a lot in their time. Nothing quite like them, though.
Yukong, Loucha, Fu Xuan, and Jing Yuan have witnessed a lot in their time. Nothing quite like them, though.
Kafka, Blade, and Silver Wolf have witnessed a lot in their time. Nothing quite like them, though.
The different paths they all walk may intervene, as their personalities and beliefs may differ but there is one truth they can all agree on.
They hate you.
Caelus doesn’t. Rather, Caelus can’t help but love you; you gave them life and led them through their trials. You keep them safe and armored. You help them find the words to face others when their mind goes blank.
To Caelus you are the world.
The Aeons came to know of you when Dan Heng’s frantic searches focused on them for a little too long. While he was scanning the records they saw you. You were intriguing from the get go, a pretty thing, sitting comfortably as a figure in the sky. The Preservation and The Nihility, whose current forms allow for more ease with floating went as far as they could to reach you.
Yet you remain just out of reach of the Aeons.
The Abundance uses one of her many arms to steady herself as she crawls along the very fabrics of their reality to get a closer look at you. And what a darling thing you are! Excitement that she hasn’t felt in a long, long time, perhaps for the first time ever fills her up inside. With a shaky hand, she motions for the other Aeons to take a closer look at you.
From there the… shall we say, worship, began.
Nanook, The Destruction, takes note of your fondness for certain characters, and what his darling likes, he likes, so when the Antimatter Legion he has blessed come across the ones you are fond of, their attacks are lighter and they lose his blessing temporarily. Sure, he wished some of the gushing from beyond the sky was for him, but you so rarely see his face on the screen (only ever in the Simulated Universe you put that Caelus through) he can’t blame you.
IX, The Nihility, will not change in their ways, not even someone like you can shift the nihilism they embody, but, perhaps you don’t notice it, your teams deal better damage over time, don’t they? Don’t take their blessings lightly, it took a lot to bring them there.
Yaoshi, perhaps makes it the most obvious (despite you never noticing), your favorite vessels get a wonderfully boosted health bar. You never knew to question how Blade managed to get nine thousand hit points.
It’s hard to pinpoint who thought of it first, perhaps IX or Fuli, but the Aeons, the strongest Aeons, gathered to pull you down from beyond the sky. Through a (top secret) ritual you find yourself being hurtled down like a meteor into the freezing snow of the Outlying Snow Plains.
…
You wake to the kind face of Caelus, which is a bit odd because he’s not supposed to be so… high res. Or real.
“Are you alright, My Lord?” The title doesn’t immediately resonate with you, so you disregard hearing it. When you don’t answer right away they frown in worry, hands moving to yours, gently covering them with their warmth.
“What happened? Why am I here?”
“You fell from the sky, do you not remember?”
“No,” what sky would you have fallen from? You tend to stay on the ground.
Caelus worries their bottom lip and helps you sit up. “Oh.” There’s a pause. “Did you not mean to come here? I thought….”
“Hm?” You prod, gently encouraging them to talk.
“I thought you were coming to see me,” their face is tinged pink and facing down in their lap. Caelus’ hands feel hot and you rush to reassure them.
“I’m glad to see you, but I don’t know how or why I’m here,” you pause, cringing internally. “Caelus.” Fuck, that is their name right? No last minute changes?
Luckily their face lights up when you say it and you find yourself pressed into their soft chest, their arms around you in a bear hug.
“You’re really them.” A breathy, ecstatic phrase. Their face buries into your hair and Caelus doesn’t loosen their hold until a knock at their door.
“Trailblazer! Pompom here, requesting an update on Their Grace’s status.”
Caelus gently detaches themself from you and opens the door to reveal the tiny rabbit-oid conductor. Pompom bashfully rubs their hands together when they catch sight of you awake and looking at them.
“Hello, Your Grace, Pompom is glad to see you awake and healthy.”
What a cute creature, you think. “Thank you, Conductor Pompom.”
They let out a squeak at your words and nod. “Pompom needs to go check in on the other passengers, but let Pompom know if you need anything, okay, Your Grace?”
“Oh, thank you Pompom.” They hurry away, stubby feet padding quickly down the carpeted halls. You turn your head to Caelus, “what was that about?”
“Hm?” Their golden eyes meet yours, head tilting.
“Why did they call me those things, Your Grace?”
“Because you are our God above Aeons. Do you… were you somehow unaware of that?”
The words hit you like a freight train. “No, I’m not.” It’s all you can think to say.
Caelus sits next to you on the bed, placing a hand on your knee. “Yes you are. We can feel it. You are the one that controls this world and gives us life.”
Controls this world… and gives them life… fuck, the game… you’ve been playing these sentient beings. Your tummy hurts at the knowledge .
“Oh, I’m— I’m sorry.” Your eyes prick with tears, the gravity of what you’ve been doing; how you’ve dragged these people into battles for fun. You couldn’t have know, but it doesn’t stop the guilt eating at you.
“No, no, what are you apologizing for?” Caelus’ hands cup your face, a finger catching the tears that drip over the brim of your waterline. Their voice drops to a whisper, “please don’t cry, My Lord.”
You suddenly feel very watched, like a million eyes are on you. Caelus never closed his door. You look up and catch sight of March 7th’s glare. The intensity of it makes you flinch back, making Caelus look up, over to:
“March, don’t give them that look.” They scold the girl, who turns the withering look to them.
“Why are you taking care of that monster? We told you to leave them to freeze in the snow.” The words make your heart sink. Being on this side of such venomous words stings, especially from someone you never would have pegged to be so hateful.
Caelus bares thier teeth, a mix of offense and hurt on their face. “And I told you I would do no such thing to our God.”
“That is no God.” Her voice shakes as does her head, before turning around and walking away.
“Don’t listen to her.” Caelus shakes their head in disappointment. “She doesn’t understand what all you do for us. Please don’t hold it against her.”
…
They, the Astral Express, do not like you. Caelus and Pompom do, they hold you in reverence, which is better than how March, Himeko, Welt, and Dan Heng treat you. It’s all dirty looks and only partially veiled insults. Caelus gets into arguments with them over you.
You hate to think that you’re harming the friendships between them, and when you brought your concern up, Caelus dismissed you saying you are worth it all.
Yeah, there’s that. You’ve tried to explain that you are not God, but they won’t hear you out. :(
It’s a perfectly normal day on the Astral Express when the Aeons come.
Nanook is the first one to descend into the Parlor Car; Caelus and Dan Heng immediately drawing their weapons, The Destruction laughs once, eyes moving to focus solely on you.
“It’s so good to see you, My darling Lord.” His voice is low and deep, and the gold flowing freely from the wounds (?) on his arms leaves a trail on the carpet as he approaches to kneel in front of you. From your peripheral you see Dan Heng and Caelus share a look before lowering their respective weapons.
Nanook, you recognize him from the Simulated Universe blessings screen, grabs your hand, gracing the back of your palm with a chaste kiss. His golden eyes peek up at you from behind long lashes.
“How has the Express been treating you? I regret not being able to welcome you to this existence, but alas the ritual took a lot out of us…”
What.
“Oh, uh,” your eyes flicker around the cabin nervously. “I’m doing alright, th-thanks…”
“Now, now, don’t tease the poor thing,” a beautiful woman (Aeon) walks in, one with many, many arms draped in soft looking, white cloth. Yaoshi’s eyes soften when she meets your gaze. “Hello, Your Grace, it’s an honor to meet you in the flesh.”
Caelus, Dan Heng, March, everyones’ (save for you and the two Aeons) bodies droop, posture faltering. IX, The Nihility, has arrived. An odd feeling, akin to that of a weighted blanket, is pushed onto your body. It’s them, their astral, cosmic form much smaller than what should be made of their status, laying on your body like a boa. They don’t speak, though you aren’t sure they could in this form.
Yaoshi’s eyes flicker with amusement, and Nanook pulls himself up. “The others were unable to make it, but,” her gaze chills and is directed at the crew of the Express. “We all wish to make it known that disrespect, anything short of reverence toward Our Grace, will not be tolerated.”
Welt visibly shudders at the threat, and Himeko shares a look with Dan Heng. They need to reflect on how they feel towards you, tha much is certain.
Summary: How do they try to win over the mortal they have a crush on.
A/N: Thank you for your request Anon! You don’t know how excited I got when I got something that I can do. I hope this is satisfactory or what you asked for. Tagging it x reader because you didn’t specify who the mortal crush is (and because I want to start writing x reader stuff but not long ones).
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Aha:
THEY are not usually serious, however this matter is the most important. It must have been drilled in THEIR mind that sincerity would win over the person THEY care about more than playing around, but THEY are the Elation! It cannot be helped. So don’t be surprised if those flowers spray water in your face, THEY love you, really.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Xipe:
It is pretty easy to tell that THEY are trying to win you over. Why? Ena complain later to you directly saying that Xipe is about to spoil you with another gift! Hopefully you have enough space.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Yaoshi:
Sharing something that THEY favor might be the key to the heart. THEY hope you will like cherries, otherwise, THEY must think about how little THEY know you, and THEY don’t like the idea of not knowing you.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Nanook:
Would probably fight someone to impress you, let’s be honest. It’s rare that THEY would have a crush, much less a mortal one, but THEY will show you that you can feel safe and secure because THEY have the strength to keep enemies out of your space. Of course, not just that, but if someone even THINKS of making you uncomfortable, Nanook will destroy their entire planet, just say the word- (or don’t, Nanook’s gaze is constant! Your the only one worth it.)
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Oroboros:
Take your pick of food and drink, THEY certainly can supply things for you. It’s not enough? Then just continue asking THEM for things. Actually, it doesn’t just have to be good and drink, it can be items too. Jewelry? Okay. A weapon? Sure. Clothes? Well this is probably Idrila’s department more than THEIRS but THEY don’t want you to ask anyone else, so what’s your style? Let THEM take care of you.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Idrila:
Clothes make the person, and if THEY just so happen guess what you want to wear without you telling THEM that’d be a bonus, especially if THEY impress you. That cute expression would be worth THEIR time.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Lan:
Honestly, THEY were hit with a crush on you, and THEY didn’t know how to deal with it. But every time you praise Yaoshi, or go to Xipe or some wiser Aeon for advice, THEY finally decide that THEY should do something before you end up out of THEIR reach. So one day, upon your visit to the Aeons, Lan pulls you aside to a neatly decorated backyard. THEY want to show off THEIR archery for you, so keep your eyes on THEM. THEY have a great body! Don’t THEY? Plus THEY have a perfect aim, which never fails.
—
˚˖𓍢ִ໋❀ Tazzyronth:
You don’t want to be THEIR mate? You might actually make THEM cry, not the playful kind- and THEY are an ugly crier. THEY have respected your space for so long, but you won’t even spare a glance! Are the other Aeons truly better? THEY begin to bring you items, such as different plants in a ‘look what I found’ way. Sometimes THEY bring things other than plants, like little charms that THEY believe will finally make you look and realize how much THEY devoted to you. And if those don’t win you over, then THEY begin to get ideas from Ruan Mei’s creations of all creatures! It’s a last resort!
Ending A/N: This took two days for me to wrack my brain for.
SUMMARY: Oh, how much they love you. How much they want to just be one with you...
CHARACTERS: Yaoshi x F!Reader
WORD COUNT: 303
Yaoshi nearly loses themself when they feels your weight in their lap. Their breaths are short and sharp, and a shiver runs down their spine as they struggles to suppress the shudder that runs through their body. Don't you look so cute and tiny in their lap! They can't help but gently caress your face lovingly.
"You're so lovely..." they whispers, barely above a breath, as they caresses your cheek. Even after hundreds of years, millennia even, your beauty still leaves them speechless. They couldn't help themself...they was so greedy...they had to turn you as immortal as they was. Leaving you with iternal pain and horros. But with them by your side, with the aeon of abundance, you have nothing to fear. Even after all those years, the pain that you felt is nothing compared to their ever growing love and adoration.
They continue to lavish your cheek with tiny kisses. They're completely enamored. The scent of your skin drives them into a frenzy, and before they know it, they are already pressing more kisses to your neck. They moans against your skin, their whole body heating up. To think that a aeon like them grows weak for a mere (immortal) human like you...laughable, they can already the other aeons laughing. Do they care? Never...not with their little human in their lap.
"Are you sure you are not the aeon of seduction~?" Yaoshi whispers lowly, their voice thick with emotion. Their eyes are half-lidded, and a fierce blush has spread over their cheeks. A groan rises from their throat as they press more kisses to your neck, moving up to your jaw.
The kisses are gentle, almost worshipful, but as they continues downward, they becomes more desperate, more hungry. It is as though they wants nothing more than to drown themselves in you....

Characters: Aha, IX
Note: This AU I plan to eventually make Yandere, not in this part but I feel like it's good to let people (my fellow small crowd of Aeon lovers) know.
You stared at Aha's human form, not breaking eye contact as a manic grin stayed on their face. "So you're Aha?"
"Maybeee, maybe I am, maybe I'm not! Does it matter? I'm just here to help you!" They said trying to act all innocent, and blinking their long eye lashes once and then twice.
You paused for a moment, observing the person in front of you. You took a step forward and Aha remained still completely oblivious to your nefarious intentions. You reached your hands out to them and they immediately grabbed them with their own, interlocking them. Holy shit-- your whole body overloaded with that move as your face begin to burn and jumped away.
"Wasn't that what you were trying to do?" Aha asked coyly, smiling at you and holding their empty hand out to you.
You grabbed onto their hand, trying to move it out of the way of their body, "No, I'm trying to undress you," Aha froze at your words mouth twitching, "This body is just a medium right? I'm hoping you didn't steal it... But if you created it I want to see if there's any discrepancies between it and a human body." Perhaps there'd be some kind of dead give away?
The only thing that suggested that Aha wasn't human was their other worldly beauty. "Why did you choose to be so attractive anyway? How much can you change your form?" You asked leaning closer to observe them, a small mole rested beneath the tip of their left eye.
Now that Aha's hand was successfully pushed to the side you tried to remove your hand from it, only to feel their fingers dig into your skin and your hand unable to move. Whatever, you didn't mind holding hands with them the warmth felt nice and made your heart race, albeit that was a bit distracting.
Aha had leaned away from you a bit, their red lips quivering as they held in a laugh before breaking into full out giggles. "Ahaha, you're so forward Y/N," Their eyes flickered over to you, "If you wanted to sleep with me you could've just said so?" They teased you.
You paused at their words, that... being with an Aeon were you worthy of that? Could anyone be worthy of that? Fantasizing was one thing but... if you were given the chance... your head was getting too muddled with thoughts of this. Aha was just joking anyway but if there was an Aeon that would be up to sleeping with a human for fun then... it would probably be Aha wouldn't it?
"What did you mean earlier when you said you were here to help me?" You asked changing the topic and averting your eyes from them. You tried to pull your hand away again but it stuck to Aha's. Your head shot up, "Did you glue our hands together?!"
Aha laughed, staring down at you, "I was going to be your wingman for an Aeon but--"
"Really?!" You perked up immediately throwing your other arm around Aha's back and holding him closer. You didn't bother moving your glued hand and instead kept it in Aha's grasp. "That'd really be amazing!" It was no wonder Aha would find entertainment from trying to set a normal human up with an Aeon.
You'd read that he once picked up a random worm and made it incredibly intelligent to try and grab the attention of Nous. When it failed he discarded the worm without a second thought. It was weird to think you were on the same level as a worm but hey, it gave you a chance to maybe meet another Aeon. You stared at Aha's face, noticing the slightly furrowed sharp eyebrows and their eyes cast downward. You wondered if they'd show you their Aeon form one day?
Either way they seemed a bit upset right now? Annoyed? Perhaps they were just holding in their laugh super hard right now. You deemed that it was probably the latter as a smile overtook their face.
"Of course! " They grinned letting out a small giggle and holding up their entwined hand with yours, and dashing behind you, "I'm so sad! You're over me already!" You knew it was a joke but for some reason you felt a great feeling of heartbreak come over you. You felt like falling to your knees but you stood still anyway feeling one of Aha's arms circle around your neck.
You smiled despite the discomfort, "Well every Aeon is beyond interesting. It'd be nice to meet..." You felt like you were choking, "another one. Obviously, I don't imagine anything beyond meeting them," You admitted feeling your insecurity well up.
Aha laughed wildly and for once you felt on edge around them. You had been acting rather foolishly recently, trusting an Aeon especially one with such chaotic goals, you should be more wary.
"You want to see an Aeon's true form?" Aha asked you, and you could feel their breath on your ear.
Interesting if this was a body they made then they'd gotten the heat aspect down completely, from the warmth of their body to the heat of their breath. You wondered if at any point Aha had been a human. Tayzzyronth had been the last of its species. Nanook was suspected to have come from a planet riddled with destruction and upon seeing the destruction of the aftermath of Tayzzyronth and the Mechanical Empire rose to Aeonhood. But how did the majority of the Aeons start? What were they? Who was Aha before they were an Aeon?
"Wait," You froze finally registering Aha's question, "I... could see an Aeon's true form?" Your heart beat as fast as a humming bird.
"Do you want to? I think it'll be fun," Aha asked again, you could feel their abdomen shake against you and you realized how poorly this could go depending on what Aha found most entertaining.
You could see an Aeon which wouldn't care for you or even glance at you, like Nous. Or Aha may somehow know where Nanook is, and teleport you to that Aeon and... you'd seen what happened to the trailblazer when they met Nanook in the simulated universe. The trailblazer had been immediately killed. That being said Aha didn't really need your consent and you had an inkling that if you said no, you'd meet an Aeon's true form anyway. Plus, it's not like you weren't curious.
"Of course I do." You barely finished speaking before you felt a sudden amount of joy fill you, ecstasy flooded your senses, and your lips opened by themselves letting laughter escape them. The sudden amount of power distracted you from your inability to breathe.
You were in space. Yet you still felt warm, you felt unbearably happy, and you saw Aha in their human form behind you. They laughed at your expression, "My reveal should be the last!" They chattered on excitedly, "But you wouldn't really be able to be here without any help. So I lended a helping hand!" Their eyes were wide with joy and you felt the urge to pat their head.
So you did. "Thank you." They stared at you a bit stunned for a moment, cheeks with a bit more color than usual despite being in space, but you thought nothing of it as they grabbed onto your shoulders and turned you around.
"Look!" Their voice was quiet and strained, you could hear the smile in their voice.
But all of the warmth you felt quickly disappeared as you stared at the Aeon in front of you. Purple swirls and a black mysterious mass stared back at you for a brief moment. You looked into the abyss and the abyss looked back.
To an extent you'd always known that the world would eventually become nothing. That everything you worked toward, no matter how long it benefitted humanity, would eventually disappear with humanity itself. That the planets themselves would fall apart inevitably being swallowed by blackholes which would become nothing themselves. That one day even the fundamental parts of the universe would cease to exist.
That the nothingness you couldn't comprehend would one day be all there is.
You couldn't even sob. The fear that had existed in your body initially had turned into numbness, not numbness it turned into nothingness. You weren't afraid. You weren't anything. It was just
There was something holding you back. A faint warmth coming from your hand, which you found unable to move. You were stuck to something. Aha! You let yourself laugh, your mouth didn't move nor did any sound come out. It didn't feel as if you had a mouth or any form of a body but you did.
You knew one day everything you did would amount to nothing. That's why everything you did wasn't focused on the future. It was enough to enjoy the moment, and tomorrow. You'd had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful Aeon after all. You stared at the black and purple cosmos in front of you, the eyes on it no longer glancing your way. You no longer felt enthralled with joy or burdened with despair but rather, you felt like you.
Your life was insignificant in the grand scheme of things. That was exactly why you could enjoy in the beauty of what was insignificant. Of the flowers in Spring, of the creations in the simulated universe, of the people around you.
"How beautiful," Your voice came out soft as you gazed upon the lonely being. You smiled feeling a fire rise within you. No wonder there was a whole faction dedicated to making such a magnificent creature see the purpose in existing.
Aha laughed, "I'm surprised you didn't fall to nihility! Three cheers for Y/N!" The glue between your hand and theirs seemed to have faded away, as they brought their hands up to clap and cheer out your name.
"I don't know, you sound a bit disappointed," You watched IX disappear from your sight wistfully and then turned to Aha with a smile resting on your face.
Aha held a hand to their chest in offense as they gasped, "I am! You're so mean! Acting like IX is that interesting when we both know I'm ten times more cool!"
You flicked their forehead, "Let's head back to Herta's space station now." Aha laughed, finding amusement in the smallest of actions and the two of you returned.
You managed to find your way back to the topic of IX again. Aha, being an Aeon, had never felt the nothingness from IX and had asked you to describe it.
You went into as much detail as you could and then spoke in a serious tone, "I'm surprised I made it. I knew everything does eventually become nothing, and I knew it isn't nothing right now. I knew that it's less about the meaning of our existence and life and more about the meaning of every day. But the sensation of becoming nothing is... indescribable."
You paused trying to analyze the feeling you'd come across, "For a creature that doesn't know much or one whose only purpose is to live seeing the Nihility would be fatal. But humans... are beyond that. We still live but there are things we treasure above living and even the future of the whole universe." Your Aeon merch being one of them, "Even if one day those things were to disappear with everything else, it's enough for us to have had them in our lifetime. Maybe to an extent a permanent short sightedness is needed."
What you'd experience who can never be explained by any words, the absolute dread and despair. No matter how hard you tried to describe the sensation of nothingness to Aha you couldn't find the words. But you knew now how feeling nothing was worse than even feeling pain. Because from experiencing pain the pleasure and joy you later experienced became more defined and recognizable. You can only rise as high as the lowest you fall.
The good makes the bad worse and the bad makes the good better. They work in tandem. Even if the end result was nothingness for all of the time in between you still wanted to feel and you couldn't get rid of that innate want. Still your whole body trembled as you felt a smile rise to your face-- IX-- IX was just way too cool!
You turned to Aha, grabbing them and hugging them, "Aha! Thank you so much!" You grinned, you didn't want to tell them that their hand had been what brought you out of IX's trance, you wanted to keep that knowledge to yourself, "This may be the best day of my life yet!"
IX was a being withholding so much pain and despair, a creature just waiting for the end. But there was so much more than just the end. When reading a story, sometimes you know the two main characters will die that doesn't mean it isn't worth reading. And of course you wanted to show IX all there was.
Aha looked at you for a moment, face blank and speechless before hugging you back and erupting into laughter. You twirled the Aeon's human form around before letting go and began to ponder.
"Now I wonder... would it be possible for IX to take a human form?"
It would be difficult to bring the Aeon the beauties and wonders of life, as well as the pains considering they were just floating in the sky. It'd be easier if you could bring the Aeon around, but even if they did have a human form you weren't sure you'd be able to drag them around anyway. Even after surviving the encounter you got the feeling your emotions and will to live would numb around them if you spent a long time with them. You'd just have to get stronger first!
Okay writing the emotions IX gives you is a toughie DAMN don't know how I'm going to make the romance work out but I'm sure future me will work something out
I love you future me!!! :) <333 can't wait to romance IX show me what u got!!!
also when i wrote this line "When reading a story, sometimes you know the two main characters will die that doesn't mean it isn't worth reading." i went into one story knowing the two characters both died at the end by driving off a cliff and i still cried despite rarely crying, it was only 6 chapters and one of the best webcomics i've ever read to this day. so fucking worth it
i dont fucking know what powers Aeons have but i'm pretty sure super speed and shit is one of them cause in SU Qlipoth just like appeared at the beginning cus they thought Trailblazer was Akivili and if that creature can like teleport or do super speed fuck it everyone can.

“
I met with the Snowbird once.
That was all it took for me to be captured within their spell.
To wish for the ability to fly with their holy being once spring came.
An impossible dream that was.
Yet still its honeyed promises of seeing the snowbird once again lured me into this path.
This path of love and despair.

DATA LOG 01 - I
[Y/N]. The God of Philandering. Snowbird. The Great Majesty of Romance. Their Wintry Excellency. Avem In Perpetua Fuga.
Aeon of Philia.
Some might call them the Aeon of Love but does love really come with a massive fear of commitment and the ease of which they left their significant others? Many scholars that studied the Aeon think not.
Their fickle, almost apathetic nature however did little to dissuade people and other gods alike from falling in love.
You see, [Y/N] was an expert, quite literally the best, when it comes to persuasion and seduction. In contrast to IX whose presence creates madness, theirs made the normal human being almost fall to their knees in religious fervor. Only those blessed by other Aeons could ever hope to escape or endure such an overwhelming aura.
The other gods themselves weren’t completely immune to their charms. One cannot help but be curious as to how a singular being was able to attain the infatuation of such powerful existences . . .
. . . and who exactly that singular being is.
In any case, as one would expect from an Aeon of Romance, the [Y/N] faith is never short of passionate poetry.
Here’s one I found in the General of Xianzhou’s office of all places. Perhaps he might be a follower of theirs? It is quite laughable to think of the great Jing Yuan dabbling in literature when avoiding duties.
“Your love scorched my mind.
Tortured my soul.
Hollowed my body.
But in this pain,
Thoughts of your presence and light,
Dull the blade you sheathed within me.
I await your return,
and your claim over the heart you’ve carved out of me.”
DATA LOG 2 - ADORETH
Perhaps those scholars were being a bit too harsh. A god of love must have extremely high standards for their partner. Perhaps those partners were simply foolish, delusional to believe they’d be enough for them.
It is a popular theory that all Aeons used to live peacefully amongst one another until the Great Majesty of Romance threw the world into chaos. The youth nowadays have written several essays alluding to their idea that it was what jumpstarted paths such as the Destruction and Elation. No evidence of such happenings have come out so far.
In my opinion? If anything the Aeon of Elation, Aha would be the bringer of chaos not the other way around. I suspect that the bias and warnings taught to the masses against worshipping or even studying [Y/N], has led to this kind of popular belief.
DATA LOG ? ¿ ? - THEE
Why ?
Why is it that they won’t come back ?
I have devoted my entire life to clearing their name. I have spent countless nights agonising on the proper words to use when describing their Wintry Excellency.
Why then would they not praise me ? Why then would they not grace me with their presence once more ? Was it all a mirage ? A tantalising dream made to inflict pain on my soul?
. . . Perhaps it is because I have chosen the wrong path.
. . .
Yes.
Yes it’s all my fault.
I should have devoted my entire life to worship not just studies.
How moronic of me !
A god of love would never be so cruel. No.
They are simply waiting. Waiting for the day, I come to them.
That was where everyone else was wrong. And I . . . will be right.
