What would the Xianzhou think if they did ragebait Yaoshi Into murder-suiciding Lan?

All things considered, they’d probably just end up continuing to hunt down Abundance denizens. Yaoshi’s dead, time to wipe out the rest.

As for their reactions to Lan’s death.. i’d argue they’d simply keep following the path anyways. Its not as though a dead aeon negates the path, and the Xianzhou is pretty damn loyal to the Hunt.

I’d say it’d be interesting to see who the Hunt would start focusing in on. Because if the Trailblaze is anything to go off of, a godless path is gonna latch onto someone and slowly ascend em.

Specifically, I think it’d be interesting to see whether it would be someone from the Xianzhou.. or perhaps a Galaxy Ranger.

Because like, Jingliu, likely Marshal Hua.. both are people i’d say are currently candidates for it. But with Yaoshi dead..? Who knows.

Meanwhile, a Ranger is liable to have a far wider interpretation.

Who knows, maybe it would be Bladie lol.

What if yaoshi just straight up kills lan and thats how the both of them die, maybe we get a scene of Lan firing a lux arrow and yaoshi grabbing it, i think one of the ways for aeon to die is for another aeon to die, so could happen

Three ways for an aeon to die are path assimilation, another aeon directly killing them, or turning against their own path.

I’d say that Yaoshi purposefully harming Lan would go against their path, thus killing them, and then Lan is liable to die without Yaoshi’s existence or if Yaoshi dies not to themself.

Mutual suicide, in a way, very ‘no children’ by the mountain goats.

I've got a theory that Yaoshi won't die because of the godslayer protocol, but because, somehow, the Xianzhou will manage to piss Yaoshi off so much THEY eventualy crash out and take a life, causing THEIR death due to abaddoning abundance(and the sacrifice of some Xianzhou fleets), however this will make Lan either set THEIR target on another aeon, or without yaoshi to Hunt, THEY'LL fall into nihility OR that Lan will start needless hunts and get absorbed by Nanook, now, for the life Yaoshi takes, i'll say this is how we get rid of phantylia for good

As for Lan.. honestly, either they get assimilated by Nanook like you said, or another Aeon, or they simply basically die.

While the Hunt as a Path is not solely dedicated to hunting Yaoshi, Lan’s ascent and purpose is dedicated to that.

Actually, maybe it would probably end up akin to Oroboros after losing their tongue..

In more aeonic lore, i think long is yaoshi is some way shape or form, either long just straight up turned Into yaoshi after tazzy took propagation, or the theory that long died and reincarnated is true and the reincarnation is Yaoshi or the mortal who ascended into Yaoshi is lan's reincarnated, now, since you sayed that the aeonic caditate for the next Lan would be Blade, what i'm saying is that Dan heng, turns into long, who makes Dan heng, then long turns into yaoshi

One of these days, we’ll get a look into an Abundance dedicated planet that ISNT actively fighting the Abundance in some fashion. And we’ll get more non-biased Yaoshi lore.

That or a Permanence focus, which will also have Yaoshi lore because of their inherent connection.

I could see Long -> Yaoshi, though i will say that it could very well screw with how we thus far understand how Aeons work, if one can abandon their path for a new one.

Tazzyronth narrowing Permanence into Abundance with their ascent, thus forcing Long to reincarnate into Yaoshi would be fucking insane.

I wouldnt really say that Blade, Firefly, or Kafka have the same level of ‘implied aeonic ascent likelihood’ as TB, SW, March, or Dan Heng, but by all means, Blade is 100% the one with the most blatant ties to the Aeon i assigned them outta those three.

Blade chose to keep living for more or less two reasons: A refusal to leave his new family and He Gotta Kill That Fucking Aeon man.

Dan Heng being the inevitable Yaoshi would be.. messy as hell ngl.

Although, at this rate, Dan Heng & Blade are lowk chill with each other.

Imagine being in Yaoshi’s arms, it might as well be the safest place in the whole universe.

After all, nobody would dare to harm an aeon’s beloved, except maybe The Hunt.

THEY wouldn’t speak much, except for the occasional comments of sweet adoration towards the object of their affection, and even then, it would be difficult to decipher what exactly THEY are trying to convey.

Perhaps their approach would be more akin to how one would speak to a cute animal rather than to a lover, but THEY are incredibly gentle nonetheless.

With six arms, THEY could easily overwhelm one, and THEY are so achingly gentle with their actions too.

Their body is likely warm too, as life needs heat to prosper, so being in their arms would feel idyllic.

THEY would likely kiss their favoured, the only issue would be making it clear that one does not wish to become immortal, as their blessing is more akin to a curse.

Speaking of which, Yaoshi’s ‘blessing’ has caused a lot of suffering, but their presence in itself makes one feel the need to be comforted and held by THEM.

like in a world where people are subjected to the whims of aeons, put through anything and everything, what stops hanahaki from existing?

Like imagine Yaoshi deciding to curse people who don’t show their love (idk why but like it happens) by causing them to slowly become mara struck even if they aren’t a long life species.
